I’m a new doom fan who has been playing all doom games and is currently on the last level of doom 64. Literally all doom games are riddled with traps. This guy would not survive doom 1 and 2.

never got the whole "OMG doom eternal is so hard!" like, bruh use the granade shotgun, it auto locks onto enemy weakpoints for some reason. doom 2016 kicked my ass up and down the street but I never once got a game over on eternal when playing untraviolent. its too easy in my opinion.

right, well, reality was represented perfectly well both times. two different gameplay experiences at two different levels of expertise. don't believe you were never shite at the game yourself, it's just you're not getting paid to review them. makes you think. and anyway, IGN doesn't _want_ pro gamers for their junk food reviews. they want to reach the casual / medium gamer. few can relate their own gameplay experiences with high level play who aren't high level players themselves. so whatever IGN is doing, they're doing it on purpose. unfortunately. their reviews are baneful to listen to these days.

The FM music and sound effects on this version are worse than the PC-9801 version, the PC-9801 version has better sound effects than this one. One day I tried playing this game on the original MS-DOS and the sound effects were just made with DAC and not even FM, but the music was made with Adlib, and the introduction showed a woman being taken away by a wizard, and in the game I had 60 minutes to complete but actually never got to the end.
