How it is calculated the standard Entropy for each substance? if it is just delta enthalpy(or heat transfered by the surroundings) divided temperature, every substance would have the same entropy for any given temperature.

Balanced by half reaction method
@chemistry.student4 күн бұрын
Yes! I agree, and that is my personally preferred method. However, most students are taught (and examined on) how to balance equations before they learn about half equations and electron transfer. This video is to show how you can still get the right answer and balance, even if you don’t know about electron transfer :)

then will the electron jump back from the high energy level to the low energy level? If yes, then I will still see that colour. If no, then there will be more and more electron in the high energy level? I don't understand about this. Can you please explain about it more? Thanks.

I now understand why they called it free energy - it because the free energy given out to the universe to do work, and the entropy is the energy distributed evenly among the molecules in the system.
@chemistry.student26 күн бұрын
:) Yes, in a slightly simplified way - Free Energy is the proportion of energy available to flow out of a system (and do work) and the proportion of energy that is unable to flow out is entropy.
