1986...if I am not mistaken, the artists got together and printed another version of The Studio...a leather bound hardback version, signed by all 4 with a tiny press run of only 40 copies, which they gave to friends, family and supporters. Now THAT is a collectible. Did this event coincide with the release of that book, or was it mentioned at all during this interview?

Wonderful!!! Wish the audio were a lil more clear but it's an absolute treasure. Some of my biggest influences right there. Especially Wrightson who I met about 10 years later when I was working in animation. Sheesh....this vid is from 1986. I was 17 years old. And a huge comic book fan. Now I'm a 55 year old huge comic fan. LOL. Thanks for the post.

29:21 Thos dramatization suggests that the after affects of electrically inducing life into the creature is what deformed it. It offers plausibility as to how Victor at first regarded his features as handsome and only after he imbued his frame with a spark of life did the creature become hideous to his eyes. But personally, I think him being caught up in the fervor and expecting the impossible only to be snapped back to reality once his toils had been complete more engaging. It offers the reader a chance to ask how he could not interpret these deformities and decay as he was going forward. Did he expect the flesh to magically become healthy and whole? Did he expect the stitches where he joined his limbs together to vanish? How much of Victor's expectations were based on the arcane arts and not on the scientific foundation that he combined with outdated natural philosophies? Expectation versus outcome seems a stronger topic of discussion when it has to do with one's perceptions as opposed to actual cause-and-effect.
