Such a shame about the audio quality, which keeps getting worse every year though Trinity’s fees keep going up. Trinity, get your act together for this major tradition, I thought I was listening to a badly tuned transistor radio and the organ gives me earache. The quality sounded a lot better 20 years ago when old John Coker was recording these services!

@bornforbanning You’re being intellectually dishonest. I’ll be 1000 bucks that if we found a recording from 20 years ago it would sound worse than this. Thanks for your useless comment. Clearly things have gotten better since then considering Trinity is much better off now than 20 years ago! :)

I loved this presentation, but I did have one gripe. He speaks in a condescending way about students who percieve Achilles and Agamemnon as immature, and then goes on himself to compare them to fifth graders. Clearly there's a little more to the perception of immaturity than inattention to detail and context!

The combat pilot oft-times might not discharge his weapon and - if he does - he does so comparatively fleetingly. The drone pilot might be sitting on the other side of the world, but he likely launches missiles more often over a protracted period of time, is tracking his target for a period of time before the strike, and then conducts his own post-strike assessment. And he's doing all this with sophisticated optics, often being used to identify the target and assess kills and wounded. The opportunity for the drone pilot to feel - even subliminally - a sense of shared humanity with his victim will often be greater. Any thoughts anyone? Especially from a drone pilot?

American universities, or rather pro-Hamas centers, are a joke for jokels. Their woke professors, or rather political clowns under the guise of academicians, are quite contemptible.

This is Christ's question Mathew 15: 3: "But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?" A women say "the Husband has no name". Another ones say "the Husband has many names". Some of women "love the Husband in all his manifestations" like: neighbour, taxi driver, boss... But, all of those prostitutes say "the Husband is the only". Then they even talk about "trinity of the Husband" and they are not against "the Son taking the Husband's place". In the same way religious prostitutes try to hide their disgusting fornication with different gods. Here is the God's word spoken through Moses, Deuteronomy 11: 16-17: "Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; And then the LORD's wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you." So, the God says there are other gods, but blind leaders of blind lead people into trap. "Jesus" means "Jehovah is salvation". This is the name of Christ real christians are hated for. "HalleluJah" means "Praze Jah" (Jehovah). Psalm 83: 18: "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth." The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why liers feel so good while righteous people are persecuted. That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our beloved ones again! :-)

The works of the great poet, Homer, are filled with words that not only survive in Albanian, but continue to be used. From Homer you can get not only words, but also phrases that possess all the signs of a typical Albanian expression. If someone were to interpret Homer from the Albanian language perspective, much light would be shed on the works of that famous poet. Between Homeric and Albanian sentences there is a striking resemblance in expression, phraseology and sentence structure. A study of this nature would help interpret Homer, since the Albanian language is older than that of Greece (Science Magazine 2023), much can be learned about the influence of this [Albanian] on Homeric and later Greek. yes, yes. Modern gangs and their members are violent, short fused and trigger happy because their coat of arms is respect, because they are social outcasts and because . Nothing is due to their "thriving" in nihilism, or any sort of causal links which would explain why the IQ of urban american gang members is similar to the IQ of african tribe members. That these two groups behave very similar is purely accidental. As Hume once said: There cannot be any necessary connexion between two distinct things! And now, stop noticing and let me proceed with my fashionable sociological explanations. After all, social and econmoic factors made me do it! Have a nice day reading the Iliad.
