I think I love you man, this was exactly my problem. I confirmed that when you push a bit on that specific part of the silicone cover it makes a crease right on the proximity sensor. Though I just used SideQuest to disable the proximity sensor. It's not a permanent setting so it's a bit annoying to have to do it every time you turn on or reboot the headset, but I find it a bit better than using tape on the sensor or just cutting the cover. I might have to resort to do the tape or scissors way in the future though. But thanks for helping me figure this out, it was driving me crazy with how random it was.

My right screen shows a muddy brown on it. It’s not exactly black and it isn’t stopping the game or anything. It’s just there while I am in the Home Screen or in any game. The left screen is perfectly clear. What could be the possible issue and how to solve it?

Not helpful, whenever I take it off (the rubber cover) it still doesn't help and it will still flicker black on my left lenses and if I shake my headset boom it's back but later in my gameplay it happens again, any fix?

Mine just worked and before this wasnt the case but i guess after so long of using the rubber piece is wrinkled and stuff and taking it off it works brand new man this video saved me cuz i almost reset mine in the boot menu thank you so much BOOST THIS VID

My quest 2 had this issue of the display flickering on and off but now it has gone away but the only issue now is that my screen just goes black and when i try turning it on it still displays a black screen. Ive tried factory reseting it and other things but nothing seemed to work. Do you have any idea on how to fix this before I get a replacement?

Omg! Yup! This exact thing started happening to me once I started using the rubber dam. It was weirding me out, because I'd just wrinkle my nose a little too hard, and the headset would basically turn off.

i play ghosts of tabor and i notice if i try and reload a stanag mag the cups are always in the way theres too much room between each controller with the cups on, thats like the only downside to this magtube i have to pull one out of the cup to be able to reload 😒

Hesitating between this, a modified version of the backpack mount, or a unicorn mount fixed backwards. What do you guys think?
