That’s just beautiful! I’ve fallen completely in love with your channel. Your my go to whenever I need to listen to some clawhammer banjo and get the motivation to play

Awesome!!!! You using Aquila nylguts?
@StanleyWaltsBanjo5 күн бұрын
Thanks, Cameron! Yeah, I'm pretty sure these are 5B (medium tension). I don't always like Aquila banjo strings, but these are nice enough (although the 4th string isn't wound and feel a little bit floppy to my taste).

Hey man! I love all your covers! I wish I could sing like you! Is there a specific tab for these you’re following?
@StanleyWaltsBanjo6 күн бұрын
Hey, thanks! I appreciate it! I don't use tabs a lot these days, but I used to read a lot of them from Josh Turnkett. He's does that Brainjo program and goes by @ClawhammerBanjo on KZbin. Recordings of his tabs are on KZbin, but the tabs themselves are paid content.

I really appreciate it! This one is from that Josh Turnkett fellow I mentioned in the other reply. :)

Thanks a bunch, Jason! Always appreciate you! I hope it helps put y'all in a festive spirit, haha! 😄 I've got some friends and extended family that think banjos are goofy, so to them it'll basically be a gag gift. I can already see the eye rolls coming. 🤣

Best wishes from germany! Such a nice thing about the internet, that I, as a random guy am able to see you random guy rockin´ the banjo in good old Texas. The only place in the world where people do make me jalous about the ability to call this homeland. Keep on playin´, I´m subscribed, so I won´t miss it.

Thank you very much!! It's hard to beat living in The Lone Star State, haha! Some of my ancestors were musicians from Germany, so it's really neat to see things come full circle in a way! I appreciate you joining me on my crazy banjo journey! 😁

@StanleyWaltsBanjo26 күн бұрын
Thanks!! It is hard to describe how much fun banjo is for me nowadays, haha! It's really just been a matter of sticking with consistent practice; slow, gradual progress over a long period of time. I've come a long ways with with it even since getting this channel going back in July, and I've got a long ways to go still! Banjo is a journey, haha. All the best of luck with your banjo journey, too! 😄
