Regarding the Dream Theater audition that took place in 2010, Aquiles made a mistake. He himself took over and spoke on a podcast here in Brazil. When Dream Theater called 7 drummers, they were the 7 best in the world at that time. Just that Achilles got there and recognized him says a lot about him. Even though he made mistakes, he never gave up. I think he's one of the best drummers in the world and I don't think he even needs to be in a band to be sure of that, because it's no wonder he's known as an octopus.

I have heard that Eloy was taught by aquiles priester. I'm not sure, but maybe it's true bc he's amazing.

When i see Eloy play. The first thing i think, that it is not healthy way of drumming. That also explain why he hit so hard. He uses muscle instead of technique. I fear for his future health. The way he drums seems like it is bad for shoulders, back and in generel his muscles. He have clearly worked out, or else he could not play like this. At some point his body will say stop, and he will not be able to play anymore. That's what i get out of these videos, and also why i am not impressed by it, because it just looks unhealthy to me.
