This is a fine example of a great car. I was not as find of these as the 1972 formal top, but I wouldn't refuse the keys to this one.

That is sweet. I nearly bought a 69 C3 but went with a 1960 C1 instead. I've never regretted it. The non-stock 327 in it has been the best engine I've ever had.
@msmoniz22 күн бұрын
1973 is in my opinion the BEST looking version of the entire C3 run because of the full fiberglass front end/bumper cover with the last year to feature the flying buttress chrome bumpers rear end. The sloped fiberglass rear-end that debuted in 1974 and continued until the end of the C3 was a visual step backwards to me.
@HiPlains122 күн бұрын
And hey came with the side pipes that could burn you. Love this C3
@justme30721 күн бұрын
1977 was the last year for the flying buttress and yes, 1973 was the last year for chrome bumpers. For me the 1968-1977 and 1980-1982 are my favorite C3. Fun fact: many Corvette enthusiasts consider 1974 as the end of the era of classic Corvettes because it had points distributor, dual exhaust and no catalytic converter.
@msmoniz21 күн бұрын
@@justme307 Sorry but the rear end wasn’t a flying buttress after 1973, it sloped DOWN and away starting in 1974. A buttress slopes UP and away. 78 is when it added the hatch style window and stopped being a notch back with an upright window.
@justme30721 күн бұрын
@@msmoniz I meant the sail panel, which is why I don't like the 78-79. The 80-82 had the same rear window but by then the Vette had the 78 pace car add-ons, and I really like that look. I just looked it up, the sail panel is the buttress. Another term would be tunnelback. "There are several types of architectural buttresses, the most visually spectacular probably being the ‘flying buttress’, a structural device used in the design of many Gothic cathedrals. The buttress as applied to vehicle design is usually a structural rear quarter pillar which not only supports the roof of the vehicle, but can also act as an aerodynamic aid to stabilise the airflow at a notably turbulent point of the body."
@thud979711 күн бұрын
And the front bumper was not fiberglass, it was steel underneath with a urethane rubber covering to meet the new federal 5 mph bumper standards and this 5 mph standard would apply to rear bumpers in 74 to complete the rubber bumper design.
@greeneyedwarlock88222 күн бұрын
FREAKING STUNNING but you HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL when gettin' into & out of that car because of those dangerous exhaust pipes on both sides. I've knows a few guys who've burnt the F outta' their legs from them.
@thud979711 күн бұрын
And is why Chevrolet would never allow those pipes on factory cars, the OEM sidepipes had covers over them and while warm would not burn you like these ridiculous things.

Pontiac called and they want their hood tach back. While they were on the phone, 1970 left a message to return the deck spoiler back to the warehouse. And while the builder was out for lunch the painters messed with him and put the fender stripe in the wrong place.

I saw your American Classics Autotrader LLC channel, And your channel content is very good. But video views are not good. Your channel has some issues due to which your videos are not getting good views. The main problem is SEO.
