All the boys were incredible talents but the best thing they ever did was let Susan in the band. She was an attention magnet. She was, and still is, magic. I’ve loved her all my life and still do.

We always go to the Happy Together Concerts when they come our way, usually around the 2nd week in June. One particular one found The Buckinghams on the same bill as The Cowsills. Right in the middle of the Buckinghams' set, here comes Susan out on stage wearing her glasses and telling the audience that "Susan" was all about her! After that, she hugged all the guys in the band. Since then, I've been in love!

The look on Mel Tormes face when Susan goes over to them is just priceless. Other than forgetting about where the lyrics went, she just killed it. Great performance!

This video could really use to sync the video and audio. I was listening to the original tract by THE SOPWITH CAMEL a few years before this. There is now a reprise of their song. . very nice but it's a bit too long.

If there was ever a Beatles cover better than the original, this is it. It puts even Aerosmith's "Come Together" to shame. Little Susie Cowsill was just 11, yet her Janis Joplin impression was spot on, turning a novelty song about aging into a cabaret torch song! The highlight is when she breaks the fourth wall with David Arlen--suggestive and adorable at the same time! (The woman the censors wouldn't let her flirt with is Dale Evans, that week's co-host.)

Susan would be around the age of 11 during this interview and performance. To this present day she’s as cute as she can be. A wonderful sister to her talented Cowsill brothers, a wonderful wife and mother.

I can't remember the last time I head that song yet I knew all the words and sang along! WOW! This one amazing band and I loved that song along with all the others! A friend of mine wanted to hear The Path of Love and we listened to the whole Captain Sad album twice in her car! She loved all the songs and again, I knew all the words! That is the mark of a great band! Happy Birthday Susan, who I think is the same age as my youngest sister, and many, many more!

Am I missing something? If she means tangerine the same way Led Zepplin did, that's a bit inappropriate to hear from a preteen, although in reality she's 10 years older than me so who cares

Shawn Rhymes here. I had an album with the song "When I'm 64" on it. It was a John Denver album, but Billy Joel should have done the tune, not Paul McCartney. LOL. The audio needs to be fixed, remastered or something.
