What times are they used on the new haven line and are they used at 12pm on the NHL

On weekends train #6525 often has diesel power but on weekdays not inner New Haven Line trains use diesel power during the midday. The departures for Danbury are 5:07 PM, 5:53, 6:17, and 8:03.

They don't have a reason to. CT has plenty of M8s and Diesels + a non third rail compatible locomotive would have limited usage.

How often do trains come during rush hour?

Currently, there are 16 trains with 2 in each direction during each rush hour. By the end of the year, it should be up to 20 and 3 and hopefully increasing in 2025-26 to around 36 and 8. When this was recorded, there were 24 and 4.

This horn used on 6699 is very common in Australia, being used on our own C44ACi. It is called the Nathan K5UL-AU-LS and it sounds amazing
