Maybe some characters are "pieces" in a literal sense now, where one of the personalities actualy comes from another layer of existence and is controlling the actions of the player. If Umineko played with Higurashi fans knowledge of time loops, I think Ciconia is playing with our knowledge of Umineko's meta, the twist may me in not knowing which world is the meta one..

So as Haworthia has told us, that 'Time capsule' is most likely a cryosleep chamber, backed up even more by Seshat opening it calling its inhabitant a sleepyhead. But, you may be thinking isn't Haworthia taking place way further into the future? Well the thing is the humans in Haworthia already had this happen during their time and are just waiting for the Earth to return to the conditions suitable for them to inhabit once again. Showing the timeloop for this WTC entry Humanity keeps making the same mistakes again and again leading to the same future everytime like a 'prophecy'. The 'Girls' down there are most likely Organics Automata which are just an evolved sentient 8MS as we see with Suzu and Kyou. The machine that Mario activates to 'return the Earth to it's former glory' that causes global earthquakes are the tectonic plates shifting back to good ole Pangaea. For those in the comments Vier is not Satoko, Jestress is Satoko which is a young clone of Vier backed up by how Toujirou interacted with her, further backed up by Takano memory leaking in Sotsu which wouldnt make sense otherwise as its only relatives or close friends and i dont think Satoko thinking of her as a close friend. Lastly, the Win condition is to let neither player win as throughout Ciconia we are repeatedly told that they do not wish to be a piece, this would mean not to be used by a player (either for human extermination or restarting the loop again) and become a 3rd option.

Satoko and Miyo Takano are connected each other, besides they are "close friend". After Satoko being looper, Miyo Takano can remember previous fragment. By the way, do you know that Satoshi Hojo's name is a kind of foreshadow that Satoko is part of 34 things? Because 34 (sanjyuu yon, 三十四 could read as Satoshi in Goroawase/Japanese wordplay).

According to the Haworthia lore, aliens kept a simulated version of Earth's future in the ship computer. This simulation contains Hinamizawa and Rena. In Gou&Sotsu, Eua refers to Satoko as Vier without her memories. So it might be that Satoko is Vier inside a corrupted simulation. The whole of Higurashi and its looping is a game played by AI in different reboots of Earth's simulation.

Satoko means 35 (34 + 1). Because her brother's name means 34. In goroawase (japanese word play) Satoko = 35 = 三十五 = (LD)3105 Satoshi = 34 = 三十四 = 3104 Satoshi isn't Lambdadelta, but his name is Satoko & Lambdadelta's foreshadow.
