The video direction doesn't suit this format of the sport. Elimination races are mostly about the fights at the BACK of the pack. Why show the leaders throughout the race? Made it difficult to follow any eliminations especially at the beginning.

Grandioso vídeo diste mucha información bastante útil, ahora sabemos que los patines pueden ser igual de rápidos y eficientes que la bicicleta para moverse, ojala las ciudades del futuro consideren tener pistas para patinar y llegar más rápido a ciertos lugares y no depender de los transportes públicos

yo, crashing with speed skates seems to be a lot more awful than standard skates since they ain't got no ankle support. I certainly hope that no ankles were broken in this video

I will calm you down. Accidents at higher speeds paradoxically reduce the risk of fractures. It usually ends with abrasions and bruises. low boot sufficiently stiffens the ankles

This was generally my racing experience and the advantage of elimination races. I went the opposite way of most people, from ice to inline. The young guys would make me lead the entire race. I would slow down to get try and get someone else to lead and they would refuse. I would slow to almost a stop and they would stop and wait for me to go again to the point that it wasn't even racing. They would just wait me out until it was embarrassing. I would start skating again and they would fall in behind me. Then, after having done all the work for the entire 10K, their young legs, hearts, and lungs would blast past me with 800 meters to go. Look, I was never going to win, particularly as a master against younger guys, but the lack of willingness to do the work or at least help some, was very discouraging.
