Hi great video, was that the last final session??? Looks like you had the whole track to yourself!!!!We were on the zx7r's, sadly had to go home early due to a head gasket blowing :(. Cracking day though, hopefully will put some videos of the day up myself soon.

Cheers, was a good day for it. Not the last session, just chose some laps for the video where I had some alone time. Trying to review my lines for my next run. I was in the Novice group so it was fairly quiet.

Here in Portugal the law got changed, thanks to the EU I guess: - A1: starts at 16 years old (there were no changes to this category); - A2: starts at 18 years old and with it you can ride bikes with a maximum of 35Kw; - A: starts at 24 years old or if you have the A2 license for 2 years and are at least 20 years old, you can get it too. With this license you can ride any bike;

It seems to vary from bike to bike depending on exactly where the rev limiter kicks in but only by a couple of MPH. Mine topped out at 82mph (on a private closed road of course).

Man you are lucky, we get the new european laws (Netherlands) this states that your first license is max 125cc for 2 years, than max 35Kw for another 2 years and then after 4 years of having a license i can get a license for every bike. And i am 19 right now..... Driving around on a bike with 125cc...

I would say yes to the YZF R125. The bike styling, seating, footpeg, gear selector and handlebars are pretty much all in the same postion as its bigger brothers (sports bikes at least). Even the brakes and suspension seemed keen and firm. If your going to stick with the sports bikes then yeah why not get the smaller lighter version first and gradually progress up with the size and weight. The price may put you off but the YZF holds its value well when its time to sell.

quick question, i was thinking of getting this as my first bike.im 16 and here in spain you can get 125cc license when you are 16+. i like sports bikes and all and it runs in my family to have big bike etc but people keep telling me to get a xmaxx 125 as first bike instead...what do you think is better because after 2 years with this bike i would get a CBR600 or anything over that. Is it worth getting this one for 2 years just so i can get used to the gears etc? cheers if you reply
@mack363011 жыл бұрын
Hi, Yes I would. This was my first bike and it certainly did the trick for me but I would say it depends on what your plans are though. Staying on CBT or moving for full licence?. About 2 months after getting my full licence I moved onto a 600. If i was to do it all again I would have gone straight for my Full Licience and got a 600 straight away. This being said the YZF 125 was great fun and really easy to ride

would you recommend this as a first bike?
@mack363011 жыл бұрын
Yes, this was my first big bike after passing my test. I found after a few hours it felt like I had been riding it along time. Power kicks in smoothly so no sudden suprises but is stil pretty quick. Put around 9000 miles on it now and still enjoy it.

The YZF R125 was really easy to ride and was great to learn on at the same time as having big fun. Think I did 5000 miles on it before trading it in for a 600cc bike. I think my XJ6 is probably easier than the 125 to ride. Better turning circle, smoother throttle response etc but the 125 was still very good.

Your spelling gives away you're stupid. Most motorbike riders are intelligent people who drive much much better than any of the stupid cagers, who are generally at fault.
@mack363012 жыл бұрын
Yup. Just to clarify, neither of the bikes shown in my vids are modified. They are completely standard so any info I submit on here about speed / revs etc are all as they were out of the box. But back to your comment, yes, If you dont tell your insurance about any mods then we will not pay out.
@mack363012 жыл бұрын
Im roughly 180cm (ish). Although the seat is low, I dont have any problem with it. You are taller than I am so all I could say is try one out before you buy. If you are not able to take one out for a test just sit on one with your feet on the pegs and see what you think. You can also adjust the rear shock, I have adjusted mine up 2 notches from standard making the rear slightly stiffer which keeps the seat slightly higher with your body weight on it.

managed 81 out of mine down hill at roughly 10900 revs, but as mack says without changing bits (sprocket, exhaust etc) it wont go faster. Mines set for 11000 revs and when it hits that the engine dips by 1000 revs, which at 80mph is f**king scary (when your not expecting it )

Tbh with you its really slow motorbike...125 can go a lot faster than 80 mph. 50 cc can do 70 - 80 if tuned right. 2 stroke ped will go 60. Tune your bike a bit go to 100 mph, and you need to work on acceleration.
