@nicksabs I know it has been a while, but I would be very interested in any pics/plans you may have to recreate this tow bar for my PA28 180. Many thanks and great idea!
@nicksabsАй бұрын
We sold the Cherokee and bought a cub so I gave the towbar away to a guy with a Piper Archer at a nearby airport. I'll take some photos of it next time I go past. It was a handy thing to have. Wasn't much to it though. I made it telescopic with a spring loaded pin to lock in which made it easier to attach.

@@evo-labs >>> FWIW: I was a student pilot decades ago. I did most of my training in _Tomahawks,_ and actually soloed in a _Tomahawk_ in 1979. I also did some training in a _Cessna 150,_ mainly for spins. {Lack of $$$ prevented me from continuing on to get my PPL.} For ME, the visibility from the _Tomahawk_ was definitely BETTER than from the _150._

The agri plane started to stall on that last pass . Are you guys following any of the max wind speeds that STOL events are using in the US or are you doing the Kiwi thing ahh their Americans and we'll do it our way ... Those were some difficult winds to be playing around with for slow approach and landings especially with those aircraft that looked like they only had standard HP engines .
@transtar2000 Жыл бұрын
do you think its sort of cheating to float in using power and then cut power as you cross the line, I think they should set up at say 500 ft then cut the throttle and not touch it until they land, just my 2c worth
