If its a clone you'd never have been able to tell from the video, i had a Mk1 Mega Drive until around the mid 2010's and i sold it, really wish i hadn't now :(
@Repair3R6 сағат бұрын
At least you managed to sell yours. When I bought a PC, I gave my original European SEGA MD2 to a neighbor so they could play with it. Later, when I realized its value as a retro collectible and how much it meant to me personally, I asked for it back. Do you know what they told me? 'We threw it away'

A fantastic restoration. Now i first through it was from sony but as i was looking closer it turned out to be from sanyo🤣 Also i first throught that yellowish white was it’s original color. And since it dates back to 1985 i throught that color fits pretty well because of it’s age. Especially since i will see the color yellowish white in front of me once i will think about the year 1985🤣
@Repair3R2 күн бұрын
Yes, it's not Sony ), but Sanyo is not bad either). I agree about the yellow plastic, I even thought about leaving it at some point)

There is nothing more convenient than a round connector that also rotates when plugged in. If it had not been supplanted by wireless technologies, it would have been relevant for another 100 years.

Im really fascinated by this restoration as i have a similar Sanyo (mgr80) and i was wondering what kind of lubrication do you use for the motor and flywheel, and roughly what amount? Thanks

The audio head, the part I wanted to see in detail and its repair was not shown but only the final assembly, was it the same part or was it a new one?
@Repair3R11 күн бұрын
This is an old audio head. What kind of repair do you have in mind for it? Polishing? Or perhaps adjusting the tilt? This Walkman was restored mainly to sit on a shelf, not for listening. But if you want to restore the audio head, it’s actually easier to buy a new one nowadays rather than attempt polishing, especially since it’s not recommended to polish it more than twice, but I don't know, maybe this has already been done before me.

Old console without mod chip is useless. Original games are no longer manufactured.
@Repair3R12 күн бұрын
The benefit of the console is to stand on the shelf and please the eye in its stock form, at the moment of time. If I want to play, I'll turn on mister fpga, there will be less lag.
@SmSimon697811 күн бұрын
@@Repair3R This is a salesman's excuse and Mister FPGA is a paid and expensive gourmet emulator. There's nothing better than an unlocked console with maximum possibilities than being limited to original used games that are rare. And long live free emulators preserving the games.
@Repair3R11 күн бұрын
As you wish :). I like emulators, whether on FPGA (though technically, that’s a simulator) or on Raspberry Pi. I’m not planning to play on the PS1, I want it clean and mod-free on the shelf. I also have a second PS1 Fat console where I left the mod as it is.

Really nice channel! Just discovered it couple of weeks ago. For the restored items, I'll go for the 50/50... Love the gaming consoles resto, but you will quickly go through all of it :) So alternate is the best choice :D

Thanks friend, glad you like it. 50/50 is the choice of many, I also hold this opinion, glad that the viewer's support me. Now I am working on the next video, it will be retro AV.
