It is very funny watching this as I felt exactly the same when I first came to Germany but now I have lived here for 5 years or more, I find the autobahn just normal, rarely do people drive mega fast, the normal speed for the most part is between 120 and 160kmh, I do not know maybe it is just because I use it all of the time, the buzz has gone lol I was the same with Euro bank notes lol I like watching these videos, it reminds me of myself so much when I first came here lol. Oddly though even after all of these years here, I still find new things and certain things weird as well

Zoooom 🤣🤣🤣 Relaxed german overtaking ... fun to watch ... i guess now you're used to it. And nevermind ... my wife and me🇩🇪 sh*t our pants when we had to drive through spanish cities ... have a good time here in germany (and maybe only once you try to drive 200+ for 1 min. .... without kids! been there, done it, got a t-shirt 😉)

Any idea how tall the basement room is that you were going to make into your family room? My husband has a home gym and we are moving to the area and he wants to know if it will fit or if he should put it in storage. 😂

Welcome to Germany (although it's a bit late). I truly hope that once this situation lightens up a bit you can go exploring and enjoying the country-side. Your kids will probably love the local playgrounds. They may not look as 'ultra-safe' as the sued-to-oblivion playgrounds in the States, but they are a lot more fun for the kids. Ziplines, climbing towers of wood and loooong slides are very common. A few scrapes and bumps will be normal on these playgrounds as not every tiny danger has been removed to make the playgrounds unworthy of the name.

I remember those days! It took a LOT of patience! LOL! The best thing about the moves is that you do make new friend, & the kids get to experience other places.

Nobody will come and tell you to get off his land. As long there is no fence, you are allowed to walk over any land in Germany. Of course, not through crops and destroying them. But paths, forests and meadows are all open to the public.

Can you do an update on the house, how you set up the huge room in the basement?
@harrisfamilyhijinx64263 жыл бұрын
Hi! I haven’t recorded a house walkthru yet. I definitely need to though. But for the huge room down in the basement, we bought a projector and turned it into our movie room. So we have a bunch of recliners downstairs and a projector mounted on the ceiling and we do Friday movie nights down there. My husband decorated it with sports stuff on one side and his army awards/memorabilia on the other side. Oh and we also have a drum set downstairs. Haha. It’s a multi-purpose area. I know a lot of people turn the basement into either a playroom, a home gym, or storage. The bad part is that there is only 1 220v outlet down in that room. It’s a pain. So we had to buy a converter in order to plug in the multiple electronics. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching our video.
