Works much better with overtones, especially because bad intonation and detuning from pressure isn't as big of an issue.
@NevenProstran4 ай бұрын
Absolutely! Especially with high gain, makes it much easier to hear for beginners. Perhaps a video on tuning with harmonics is in order 😉

I actually never noticed that, very interesting. and now that you mention it, it sounds right with the open strum
@NevenProstran6 ай бұрын
For real! It's such a staple of grunge/punk/rock etc., but so subtle it's easily missed. You can hear it in all over the place in more folky setting too :)
@kaptkraut6 ай бұрын
Actually there is kind of a beauty in going from B flat halftones down to A and then A flat as well as then from E flat to E and then F. It is like a gnarly little ladder connecting the chords much better than just mute strums.
@NevenProstran6 ай бұрын
It’s such a cool riff! I always loved the symmetry in it. I like the “gnarly ladder” metaphor 👍

Why not play a with 1 finger
@NevenProstran6 ай бұрын
Good call, definitely possible! There are like 4+ ways to play A. This is the one that people would typically learn first, until they learn about the potential of the 1 or 2 finger A chord 👍 Mayeb this calls for another Short on different ways to grip A

Third fret the piece of metal? I thought the fret was the long metal cord that goes from the top tot he bottom
@hushex51506 ай бұрын
Are you talking about the strings? I’ve never heard anyone think the strings were frets
@NevenProstran6 ай бұрын
This is the internet so I don’t know if you’re joking or not but, yup! 👍 the little strips of metal are the frets. Otherwise you’re thinking of the strings maybe 😉
