In the first few minutes you're talking about a lack of early game aggression options. I vaguely remember scouting units being strong enough to kill some animals and start them rotting. Does anyone bother with that? Or are bears/ox/things that can fight back too common?

If you want to harass in the Archaic Age, play Zeus. Having bolt available makes him very dangerous. If you are against Norse and you bolt the starting berserker, it can be a huge setback, especially if he hasn't finished building the temple. If you against an aggressive player trying to build outside of his base and you bolt the starting berserker and then send the scout and Jason to harass the replacement trying to finish the building, it will force the Norse player to restart building in his own base. I've had many Norse quit rather than trying to come back from that. If you are against Egyptians, bolt the starting priest. It completely destroys their ability to scout and if you against Set, he can't convert animals which is huge. There aren't many options available for early harassment, but Zeus Bolt can really mess with people.

i think first age its for scouting and make some decisions, aom maps are random and because of this the scouting are so important

Don't know if you knew this also Yodesla. But every age you advance up in all your mythic units gets more hp. Even the once from second age. So going up 1 age is really important, all your mythic units get extra hp.

Never did see the point of fimbulwinter. Its more of a team game GP than a 1 v 1. Never saw the point of Nidhogg either. A few good archers are all you need..I hope they buffed it to hell for retold.

I’d like to see some more early agro options too. The closest thing I’ve seen was when Fitzbro did the sentinel rush cheese. I also wish you could mass units like you can in AOE 2/4. I wonder what it would do to the balance if they reduced human soldier pop cost? Armies always feel so small

remember to check out the artefacts please , some of them can seriously change the course of the game for certain gods and units

a peacefull first age is setup for an interesting later game ... how to start eco macro and scouting ... if not all followin gonna be an absolute mess ( even more) its some fun , but it also denys all advanced tactics later on! At least if not both players basically agree to just leave each other alone and doing that decision actively is super anticlimactic and for that would feel very wrong

Random AOM Question : There should be a cheat in AOM to call all Greek Heroes ? Anyone agree?

Early dark age agro: greek used to be able make their first hero with full power (9 attack or so) Could harass dock with hero + pestilence to stop production on water maps Now greek heroes are weak in archaic age - like 3 attack.

09:00 fish in AoM are always infinite, I think the hp is for god powers, like if a meteor hits them, but I think they are immune to that so I think it is mostly a lore thing.
