Wow. I have watched others but yours was the easiest and most economical. Was the aluminum foil the heavy duty foil.

Thank you! I'm a high school art teacher so I always try and keep materials economical. No, this was regular foil- store brand (in my case Hannaford).

That is amazing process and a great drawing. I would certainly want to give it a go. How do you check the cola has bitten enough into the aluminium foil? How long should you leave it for? Thanks.

I really appreciate that- thank you! If the cola is fresh, once it touches the crayon it will actually bubble (a fun sight) which is an indicator that it is actively etching. This cola was flat but it still works the same- just no bubbling. I usually (trying not to scratch off the wax) brush the cola around until all of the crayon has been touched by the cola. The cola is only on the plate for maybe 1-3 min. I've done 1min and 3min and didn't notice much of a difference. For me, I don't know that it actually "worked" until I take off the wax with the veggie oil and see the ghost image left behind. I've had times that it didn't work and after a lot of trial an error I believe I was adding too much crayon. I hope this was helpful!
