Yall are building with ICF of Virginia? Great company, I wasn’t around for the project when they were running electrical so I can’t tell you honestly. I’m sure with this builder he’s got it down to a science though, sound like he can do just about anything in a house.

We built our house with 6-inch ICF block to the roofline and would never do it any differently again. We have lived in the house for a couple years now and it is extremely energy efficient soundproof and solid. We saved a lot of money stacking the blocks ourselves like Lego blocks. Since they only weigh about 7lbs per block even my wife with her arthritis could do it. Attachment points for siding and drywall are spaced every 8 inches instead of 16 for stick built. The fact the concrete acts like a thermal battery is very evident. We put a brick ledge on the front of the house to do a brick fascia but got so much stone from digging out the walkout basement that we used natural stone instead. Anyone that doesn’t consider ICF is really missing out. Hello from Southern Iowa.

Me too! Can’t wait to take the kids… we already drive to Great Wolf lodge. I believe it’s going to be part of a bigger picture for valuations in Spotsylvania to continue to rise. As far as site by site, it’s hard to say. 70 acres zoned commercial will definitely rise, but living within a few miles and having a house I don’t see a crazy amount of change besides that big picture of values rise. Lake Anna has its own changes in the works with some new commercial and hotels I understand.
