Speaking of banter/energy on court - watched Kate Fahey in person at Dallas PPA and woooooweeee she was a stone cold murderer with those looks! Wow! Spoke to a PPA employee friend afterwards and she explained exactly what Meg said about knowing the off court personality as totally different. Good topic!

I'm just curious. Is there a reason why you minimize your backhand drive? I rarely see you use your backhand drive in single game, and you have to run really fast to the right side of the court if your opponent return the ball back to the right

Glad yall will be making more pods. Good job in Dallas this week btw. Curious your thoughts on the changes to the game over the last year. Specifically with hotter paddles and some player changing styles trying to be more agreesive (ex the Johns). Also who are you picks for players looking to move into top spots in 2025. Thanks for your content!

I'd be interested in 3-4 day pb boot camp that coincides with the pro tournaments when they come to my state (Michigan). I'm sure others would be as well. Hope to see something like this in the future. Love how you both teach.

Brilliant video, really great to see the progression of the drill for different levels as I always end up with a mixed group of people

Have you ever tried this going diagonally, and if so, did you set the cones at different angles other than a foot inside the kitchen line? Also, I've been watching a lot of games lately, and I've seen a lot of dinks close to the kitchen line or even a little longer. Is this a new philosophy? And great video! It has to help focus. I hope to try it ASAP.

Playing from last year or so. solid 3.5 and also play well iwth 4.0s. I always use half volleys to retun serves as I stand just behind the base line. some 4.0s told me that my retun is very very weak and stronger players will smash it when lift it in the air from half volleying returns. I did struggled when I played at higher level with half vollwy retuns. Otherwise it works for me flawlessly even with fastest serves in Rec plays. I tried to change it but it is incredibly difficult to change the technique. By standing way behimd the line I am hitting out or on net. Fast serves just cant take it. What should I do? It made me feel like I am not good enough to play with 4.0s

Just saying: Nobody plays singles pickleball in the parks because the court is indefensible by anyone except world-class athletes. It's not played in MLP either -- I'll wager because it's (relative to doubles) boring to watch. How long will it take for pickleball thought leaders to call for smaller inside boundaries for singles play? Imagine how bad it would be to watch or play tennis singles if the boundaries for doubles were used? My bet (74 years old, former tennis player and pickleball clinic coach): it would be exciting to play and to watch pickleball singles if inside boundaries were added to make for a narrower court - defensible by regular people. I'm betting the pro-level rallies will be longer, and more exciting to watch than the one, two, three pass-first-or-perish contests we watch now hoping to see a handful of exciting rallies.
