very informative, you go in-depth for all the bullet points listed, so I didn't need to google anything extra, thanks.

Thanks for the detailed info, my issue is I need a 18650 flat top that has both terminals on the same end, it's for my Slyde King first GEN flashlight. I'm having GREAT difficulty locating a replacement. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I am watching this vid so as to NOT get suckered into buying batteries with fake Ah ratings. AMZ is just full of vendors offering 18650s with 9800Ah or 6600Ah and like that. I read somewhere that the 18650 is physically not capable of making more than 3500Ah. !

HEREs what I dont understand. I have several trailcams and every single one of them from ANY Mfg used 4 or 8 or 12 AA batteries. Most 8. Has the trailcam industry NOT discovered the 18650? It has been around for HOW LONG? I have a label maker which used 6 AAA. Today I bought a 2-18650 holder which I will wire to the battery terminals and run my label maker off 18650s. Jeeeeeeeeeez... Get with the program already. !

I've read and researched about LiPo battery care. I got this charger and a NmHd battery to start with. And want to switch to LiPo now for my rc batteries. I just couldn't wrap my head still and the description and care of the batteries just from reading. The fact that Tenergy has these vids for each mode and operation for LiPo care us a game changer for me! Having the exact model in screen with clear directions being narrated makes me feel more comfortable with LiPo care now. Thanks guys for making sure your customers can have this resource!

I was storing my new batteries in the original packages in a tote, average temp was 69° F, then they all started to corrode and burst. Multiple packages, a 4 of pack AA and Cs, 6 pack Ds, most of a 40 pack of AAAs, but not the half of a 40 pack of AAs. At first I thought maybe I shouldn't store them in the original packages (thinking maybe the cardboard had something to do with it somehow), but I think it was a moist basement and a not-so-sealed tote. That moisture got thru a lot in a little time, and it's not that damp down there...

Mine looks identical but the Model Name at the top is 'Capacity Controller'. The bottom label is the same as this one in the video though, it is; 'Digital Batter Capacity Checker' and everything else is the same. I held the 'Cell' button for 3 hours and nothing changed on the display screen. ??? Help, my batteries are starting to act belligerent.

Hi, try hold button "TYPE". I think I have the same as you. It can't be adjusted, it just balances straight away, but I think it's there.

@caoimhin7122Ай бұрын
Lithium metal (primary) batteries have a much longer shelf life, safer, and operate over a wider temperature than alkalines (alkaleaks). Better in every way. Only downside is a slightly higher voltage. Some devices cannot handle it.

Great video. What makes a battery super/heavy duty or long lasting? Or are they just marketing terms
@lapicker10102 ай бұрын
An issue that you didn’t address is that often button top batteries don’t give specs on the output. My flashlight will ONLY run on a high output button top. I’ve bought a number of 18650 which didn’t have a high enough output to give me turbo mode. VERY frustrating!!

Can LI-ion rechargeables be used in solar lights?
@TheTenergybattery2 ай бұрын
Hi Kyle, it will depend on the solar lights. We generally recommend checking either with the solar light manual or manufacturer, if the solar light comes with a nimh or nicd battery then it will not work with a LiFePo4 or lithium based battery, since they have different voltages.
@shanescammell89522 ай бұрын
Just to correct the video, the prius 2nd and 3erd gen has 28 battery packs tied in series. So when disconnected, each pack is a 6 cell, 7.2 volt NIMH battery with 6500mah.

1:10 I did the same thing but it doesn't start charging. How come for me it pauses and doesn't start if I press start again? I set nimh since the pack to be recharged is this one.

I am trying to make a battery pack for a solar panel and I have 3.7v batteries from old vapes. They are all the same, 3.7 wh. I was thinking I could wire 3 in parallel to make a group and then run 3 groups in series to make up the pack. 9 batteries. Should give me 11.1v and 11.1wh. is this going to work for me?

The industry needs to GET RID OF THE “18650” battery COMPLETELY, and rename the different size, type and styles od the different 18650’s to NEW NAMES! It is DANGEROUS the way it is now, and really stupid. 95% of people have no idea what voltage, current and AH or MAH means, or what the discharge rate means, or worse, what the device they are using requires or calls for. In fact, as someone who’s fairly well educated on the subject, I too have a problem figuring out which type to use in many of my devices. Most products today, and there are LOTS of them, do not document what discharge rate they prefer i their devices, OR even what AH they require, if any. Sure, a simple flashlight doesn’t really care, BUT, it can be dangerous!! And worse, many vape devices are VERY sensitive to the differences. Many 18650’s say right on them “Not for use in vapes”, yet the specs are EXACTLY what the vape device calls for. STOP MAKING 18650’s PLEASE! Split them into NEW model names properly as should have been done in the first place. Something like: 18651 = Plain rechargeable 18x65mm 2000 to 2500 mAh capacity with no control board, low discharge rate 18652 = above with addition of control board, 18x 67mm, high discharge rate 18653 = High capacity 18x65 2600 to 3600 mAh capacity with no board, low discharge rate 18654 = above with addition of control board, 18x67mm, high discharge rate …. … Then devices can simply specify the PROPER BATTERY to buy and install safely!! I love the 18650’s, great batteries, BUT THIS IS ONE OF THE STUPIDEST THINGS I HAVE EVER SEEN IN THE ELECTRONICS INDUSTRY.
