Andy seems to have reinvigorated this because it sounds way better than live versions of recent years. Just wish Mark’s guitar work was more noticeable and louder. The studio version and early live versions were loud, you could hear both guitars and it was the combined crashing waves of noise and distortion that I loved.

i have to say this but kazu makino's live performance can be much better, kexp recording is awesome plus Amedeo's live act is almost similar to what he has given on the records, but i cannot say the same for kazu, dont know why, these songs are wonderful anyway, brillant songwriting

The KEPX recording was made under studio conditions, not from a small theatre with unknown accoustics and mixing and recorded on a mobile phone.

if i'm not mistaken, sounds like they're using backing tracks or similar stuff to support their live music, i hear lots of bass lines despite no bass player in the band, plus other layers and details

Thanks man. Union Transfer in Philadelphia is my favorite club in the whole country, and the staff there are generally pretty cool about ppl filming. I started taping shows in 2018, and I've been upping my game ever since. I almost always manage to get a small collapsible tripod in, and that with the Zoom Am7 microphone gets awesome quality 48k stereo & full res HD video - shaky vids and phone mics are basically unwatchable.
