I just bought the2016 700GS for the same reasons, mine already has aftermarket suspension for 5k nzd and has crash bars and a bashplate, pannier racks and a sargent seat

Cheers mate. I've had Litchi for a while and struggled at times with the follow me setting as I had the Heading mode set to Course which meant if I turn a few degrees on the bike and the drone was 20 metres away the drone would have to move laterally 15-20 metres to keep the course.

Nice vid. I saw someone work out a fix over water. The neo relies on satellites and the downward facing camera for positioning. If you have good satellite coverage, the downward facing camera is a fallback. The guy was flying over the sea. He recommends 20 satellites and flying a bit higher. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mYbTfIiJpNmlrqM

Looking to get a t700 in the next couple of weeks. I can’t wait to get back on 2 wheels. I would like to take an adv class and street riding class just to stay sharp. I’ve had a bike off an on since 2004. I need a refresher

Really great advice mate. I've been riding for 20 years and only in the last 6 months started with ADV on a 450MT. It's a different world but HELL is it fun! Spot on with your messaging dude. Thank you.

Please remind me not to take advice from this guy on physics. Or how to ride motorcycles. "Yeah Lachy, go a bit faster because you want more momentum into the corners, entry speed, blah blah.." Poor Lachy proceeds to ride into a ditch...

Advice from a six decades Dirt road rider is very simply covered with number one tip, "don't get your ambitions mixed up with your capabilities !" Just because you saw some bloke do something on a 300kg bike, doesn't mean it's easy. Just because you can afford the biggest bike, doesn't make you an expert on riding one! Bikes will move around on dirt naturally, because that's how they work. My next and most important tip is, "don't hang on so hard". So if the bike starts "aquaplaning" on loose surfaces (gravel or sand), let it!! Trying to stop it or counter steer this will end with a bingle. Let it "float" and feed in a bit more throttle. You don't need the knobbiest tyres, you don't need a go pro, you don't need phone mounts and connectivity, you don't need multitudes of gadgets/accessories. You don't need most of the things you see on you tube either. What you really need is the common sense to ride to the conditions and go at your own pace. Don't forget to enjoy it! Happy trails.

most shots that i see are at shoulder level, can it follow you from a bit higher altitude to get a more panoramic view?

THANK YOU for this... Just bought my first adv bike, never ridden off road and I'll admit, the T7 is a little intimidating because of what you said - height, weight, etc. This helps me a lot! I appreciate the time you took to put this together.

Mobile phones need a cell tower. Zumo XT2 does not. A mobile phone here will get you lost with far too many valleys without cell tower access. I don't even turn my phone on while riding and I do not use the (too snoopy) tread app. The music playback has all the volume you ever need. I set the media to 50% and the navigator to 100% and never have a hard time hearing the music the volume of which is further adjustable from your headset. You can use extra software for more bling (tread app) and distractions but I use my Zumo XT2 stand alone. No mobile phone required is the top selling point and what every other motorcycle navigators do not have that option. They are just a front end for your phone. I make my routes right on the machine. No converting and uploading other files required. This IS the best on the market for me. The Motopumps mount works great as well if you have a crossbar. You can bluetooth your phone to the unit without the tread app for answering phone calls. The Tread app gives you all the functionality of the competition which is far more than I need or want. Think Safety. Update your firmware if it locks up. It only happened once until I did that.
