I prefer to consider ammunition paired with class and game stage. I like AP rounds on a sharpshooter, they are the most likely soldier to be shooting stuff with armour (killzone, serial, gunslinger abilities, turrets with the phantom and squad site). Maybe AP on a grenadier in the early or mid game, but I think blue screen ends up better. And if I had the choice between tracer and ap in the early game or midgame I’d take tracer to get a better guarantee on shred. Even in the late game against gatekeepers, having better odds on rupturing and shred is going to be better. Blue screen or talon rounds on rangers are great too. Having guaranteed criticals with talon should be better than ap statistically. Particularly when you have shadowstrike/conceal or run and gun, and the gts bonus. Blue screen is great on rangers too after you’ve shredded armour. Ultimately, with a balanced squad, I don’t think AP rounds have value after you’ve given it to one soldier. Maybe if you’re down grenadiers I could see taking a second set. I’d be keen to properly test though

Nailed it. I had troubles a year ago, mainly glitches preventing ladders coming down… very frustrating. But those basics help clarify so much. Thank you

@SykenPlays: you are the best XCOM2 player I have watched. I want to get into LWOTC but could you please tell me if the Sharpshooter class in LWOTC can use some of the ability such as "Chain Shot" or "Rapid Fire" at squad sight by default? or do I need to install another mod "AWC Squadsight Fix" to be able to do so?

I fell in love with the templar when I was first fighting the chosen. I revealed her position with the reaper. Got everyone in a big circle with templar in the middle and used invert and introduced the chosen to the earthly concept of a gangbang. I am fairly new but that was when I really enjoyed the game.

you can throw sharpening oil into C tier now. it's down from crit chance to crit dmg. still a 10% dmg buff, which mathematically is the same as 10% chance, but we all know that rng is never good on small sample pools.
