For some reason, Mattel had limited distribution of the HSRW/honeycomb cars in 2014. Here in the northeast, they were only sold by Kohl's dept. stores, they were ~$6ea, and only the first release models were available. The Jack Hammer was part of the 2nd release and I had to trade with someone in the Midwest to get one.

I have two of those Jackhammers as well as some other cars from that series. Problem with JH and especially at seamless track is that those "roundels" on base that prevent kids crushing axles completely are very close to track surface. And as seamless track can be bit concave instead of being flat, there's high risk of grinding. I sanded those flat on my cars.

Not worth drilling it. This Jack Hammer and the other ones in this series are very difficult to get. The High Speed Wheels series though (specifically the ones with the thin honeycomb wheels) are not worth running on track, they just don't do as well as you'd think on the downhill despite the wheels causing less rolling resistance in theory.

Will they still make hot wheels

That ending was sweet, night racing with underglow equipped cars Anyone who knows me in the hobby knows I'm fascinated by new wheel types. Guess I'm excited to see, like others, if there's a style that has some advantage. You tested two examples of the same car and lucked into a decent set-up that could beat your EVO. I can't myself throw much weight behind these results. Still, the E10SP is a great looking style, I'm happy to see it on the maroon Pagani and the new Caddy GTP. Will it garner racing cred? Jury's still out on that. Fingers crossed

Wow, I actually forgot that Hot wheels were for racing at one point in time. It genuinely makes me sad that I did forget that and now all I do is put them on a shelf and look at them. Guess I’ll have to start taking them apart and adding weight and changing wheels and grinding out wheel wells and all that stuff to some cars because that sounds more fun and doing wheel swaps and things like that.

I like that racing comes down to turning “stock” diecast cars into racing cars. You can’t buy a pro stock drag car, a NASCAR racer, or a Formula 1 car at a dealership. I like that the racers are made, but I see your point. Agree to disagree.
