Hi! They do give you free ear buds, either pick up as you enter the plane or handed out to you on the flight. They are pretty cheap so the quality isn't the best but they're free so its fine for the flight.

What is your prescription? Did you pay more than usual (compared to other glass shops) because you have a very corrective lens or picked an expensive frame, or is it the shop that's more expensive? I'm trying to understand how much glasses in sk would cost me considering my prescription.
@kwon-sisters2 ай бұрын
Hi, we both have a very normal prescription for myopia, our prescription is also very mild both of us are between -1 and -2. We both have slight astigmatism but it doesn't affect us that much. In the past we always bought glasses in the USA after going to the eye doctor and having our eyes checked. The price of visiting your eye doctor will depend on your insurance, we always wait for our free yearly check up so its no cost to us. Then theres the price of the glasses, again depending on your insurance you might be able to get free glasses but the styles of the free ones are limited and never appealed to us. So in the past we would buy glasses maybe in the $200-$300 range each. Then there is the waiting for the glasses to be properly fitted/made. Maybe it takes a few days or a week. The benefit of getting your glasses in Korea is that the eye exam is free. It's also not some quick cheap process, it was a very good thorough exam, you can also bring your current glasses to expedite the process. We're not sure if the price is extra for a more special or corrective lenses but I'm sure the cost is not that much more. The glasses itself is where the real cost is. There are many nice looking glasses available at many price ranges, also if you are a foreigner you can get up to 10% tax refund for your purchase. There were lots of nice styles under $100 and the one I ended up choosing was probably around $90 (the cheapest pair of glasses I've ever bought) and after almost 2 years have held up well. Liz bought her glasses at a different store (Gentle Monster) so her glasses itself was pricier but her eye exam was technically free, they just added a small fee. We also paid a little extra possibly about $20 per lenses to get blue light coating on our glasses. in total we paid about $200 for both our glasses and received our new glasses in less than 30 mins. We also walked in to the glasses store and was seen right away (we were lucky it wasn't busy but you can call ahead). We definitely recommend getting new glasses in Korea if you can 😀also you can always ask about the price before purchasing, I hope this helps!
@ottaviagiano28232 ай бұрын
@@kwon-sisters thank you!! The free exam is something they also do here in Italy where I live, but the lenses are what's really pricey, my mum who has graduated lenses for astigmatism paid about 700€ (750$) for her glasses here ☠️ if I can get her a pair with her prescription for even just 2/3 of that it would be a good deal. I also need to make a pair for myself so I'm definitely going try getting them there. I hear there are places that make the glasses on the same day
@kwon-sisters2 ай бұрын
@@ottaviagiano2823 I think you will get a good deal in Korea! I'm not sure how long making the lenses will take for graduated lenses but 2 regular glasses with blue light coating took only 30 minutes total. Don't forget to bring your passport so you can get the tax refund!

Have flown KAL LAX to ICN back twice a year for the last 4 years. The last year food has been awful. The beef was like leather and the crew has been disappointing. Was in the back of the A380 and the captain had turned off the seatl belt sign. So I got up and the FA put her hand on my chest and said "go back to your". The flight was smooth and there was no turlbulence. I pointed to the seat belt sign and FA just shook her head and put her arm. I guess apologzing is like KA food? Bad. Next time I might try Asiana.

@kwon-sisters5 ай бұрын
The cabin temperature was fine and if anything there were times that it felt cold as we went over the waters. Many people on our flight were using the complimentary blankets to cover themselves throughout the flight. We like to dress in comfy layers (i.e. t-shirt and hoodie) while traveling to prep for any drastic changes in temperature just in case.

@kwon-sisters5 ай бұрын
I recommend trying to make reservations as early as possible to request the bulkhead seats. During the booking process, you can select a bulkhead seat from the flight's online seat map. They are usually the ones that don't have any seats directly in front of them. You can also call Customer Service and book your tickets that way and specify that you want a bulkhead seat. I hope this information helps!

Is the construction outside the Ryse entrance completed? I recalled the area outside the entrance was barricaded for construction early last year and it was pretty dusty and noisy during the daytime.

There was a little bit of construction next door but I think it was almost done, it wasn't loud at all or dusty, we hardly noticed it. The area next to the hotel was still boarded up when we left in April. The hotel entrance was clear and didn't have any issues getting in.

I just got back from Korea and chose the same back premium seat going out. The tray was out of service. I thought I’d be fine but 14 hours with no tray was brutal. I had bad lower back pain my entire trip from leaning over to eat my meals on my lap. I also had to ask for a tray when they were serving food. Holding drinks and having nothing to set your stuff on was just horrible. They offered me points but not very many. The food was also not great but they offered a lot of snacks and were always asking if I needed anything. A few days before my trip back I called to see if it was the same plane and if they’d fixed the tray. They couldn’t tell me but did put a note in my booking asking for me to be moved if the same tray was broken. As soon as I got to the gate they were calling my name. It was the same plane and that seat still didn’t have a working tray so they moved my seat to the very front. This flight was very different. It was much more comfortable and the meals were delicious. This flight they served everything with actual plates and silverware versus the flight out was all pre-wrapped meals. All the food tasted fresh and the only difference was we rarely saw the flight attendants. They brought snacks around twice on a 12 hour flight and if you didn’t get your drink with your meal you’d have to wait or go up to the front and ask for something. I didn’t mind this too much because it allowed for you to get up and stretch and the flight attendants were very friendly. Not sure if I’ll choose Delta again for a flight that long when I visit again.
@kwon-sisters10 ай бұрын
I'm sorry you went through this. It seems like such a small thing to complain about but in a small space on a long haul flight small things like this make a huge difference! It's ridiculous that you had to eat your food on your lap and hold your drink the entire time. Last year we also had an issue with Delta on our flight from Korea to the US and our screens and charging ports weren't working. So ridiculous to have no entertainment for almost 14 hours. Luckily we had a power bank and our own iPad to entertain us but issues like this shouldn't be happening. And issues like this seem to be more common lately. I hope that things change in the future for the better.
@Kireto4210 ай бұрын
@@kwon-sisters same for you. Can you imagine both. No tray no entertainment. I mean granted, we are traveling almost magically from one part of the world to another. We should be happy about the gift of flight but man I’ve grown so used to comfort. I’m embarrassed to say I didn’t have a tray until 7 hours in. Then I was counting down the time till we landed so I could get off the flight. The comment from the flight attendant “oh you’ll just have to eat off your lap sweetie” almost made me start raging. I feel guilty for even feeling that way. But again not 7 hours in. If I didn’t have entertainment for that long I’d lose it. Such small things but so vital for our mental sanity. Especially when you keep shrinking the seats year after year and we’re stuck in a situation where we have no control if we live or die. These small things help to keep people leveled. Ok rant over. Sorry
@kwon-sisters10 ай бұрын
No worries about ranting! These companies just get more greeedy every year and we all suffer for it. They squeeze us for every dollar they can get while the quality of our flights keep going down not up. Sure the flight is just a means of transportation to get to where we need to but why does it have to be so uncomfortable? The transportation should be just as comfortable as the rest of our trip regardless of the reason why we are flying. With our videos we hope to show ppl what they can expect in terms of service and overall experience.

I did General Admission in 2022 and 2023. This year i never sat down once for 11 hours. I was exhausted at the end and missed Green Day. 2024 definitely going to go VIP even thought the lineup isnt as good. Can you come and go as you like in VIP and still get great viewing? That was the biggest problem with GA
@kwon-sisters Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately they changed the VIP section this year so the layout wasn't as convenient to move around. In 2022 the VIP area was great, you could easily move around freely and always had a great view of the stage. Not to mention there was a huge shaded seating area. I heard this year VIP was hard to move around and many people were stuck for a long time trying to leave one stage to get to another. We def want to try to go for next year but the VIP section will be a mystery again, I hope they improve it to be better like in 2022. VIP will still be much better than GA regardless since there are fewer people in VIP so it should be less crowded.

Expected better of Delta esp in premium economy and hopefully we don't run into this again.
