Labels want temp hit songs because now theyre in the boiling pot with independent artists. The playing field has been levelled and indie artists have the same visibility as majors. I hear some labels are buying distribution platforms(like Distrokid etc) to have access to independent artists catalogue because its gotten so bad, that they have to create something catchy where 15 seconds is the sweet spot and the remaining 1:45s is generic. They dont even sell physical copies anymore. and now AI music is slowly on a rise (w Sexy Redd's AI generated poundtown lol).

Right all temp hit songs are about 2:40 , short songs with easy lyrics so anyone from a toy review to a full blown tv commercial can use the same song and it’d work. Once you take out the originality in creativity you end up with blandness.

!!! The purpose of the song and many 'place holder' hit songs is to be easy. Easy to listen to (not thought provoking), easy to edit to (fits great under a 15-30 second video), easy to play over the radio as well, you dont use your brain at all listening to this song but for how bland and boring it is, it sounds perfect.

Everyone can be an “industry plant” at this point 😂 I appreciate you driving the point about having original & creative ideas. This can be what defines legacy in these days, always has, but more so encouraging people to bring something new to the table. Clearly, Sabrina and her teams are gonna eat good off of this song, but where’s the sustenance?

Thank you! Picked up my guitar and just started playing two chords ! Definitely felt good making it like a stress reliever because it was so simple and there was no pressure to make it perfect because it was raw

Hey sorry I just saw this! I don’t check my KZbin much , I haven’t uploaded in a while😅 Honestly I’ve come to appreciate where I am and that my relationship with music is because I enjoy doing it. Do I think I’m behind or ahead? To be honest, I stopped caring. Expecting myself to be further in life than where I am was not helping my mental wellbeing. Now I don’t make music as much but ironically I still open FL STUDIO everyday. Also I’m glad I inspired you to make music. I will ponder on this for a very long time because I remember the moment I realized I wanted to make music and use that as an inspiration daily for the past 8+ years. So to be an inspiration for you after 4 years is an honor.!

Honeslty that's a pretty good perspective on it and I'm glad you're more at ease with that now man 💪🏻 I struggle with that alot as well tbh especially these days so I guess it's a common thing and yeah I agree that feeling consumes you once you start thinking Abt it too much . Yeah you really were one of the first ppl I met when I started getting into music and talking to you over time and learning more and more from you and just about all of this in general did help me alot and I still am extremely into it although I haven't released anything for quite a while 😂 mainly cuz I've been really busy and just life in general yk but I do intend to get back into it at some point And don't mention it man obv we've never met or know much Abt each other since we met online and all but from everything I've seen all I can say is you're a great dude and it's been an absolute pleasure! I wish you nothing but success for the future no matter what you wanna do bro !🙏🏻

@@HYPEREX I agree , I resonate with that as well and it's unfortunately true in many cases and you're right its pretty hard to avoid feeling that way and not only in this industry but many others as well. It's hard not to compare yourself with other and feel many things throughout cuz ultimately we all do wanna succeed yk bu yh it can really start consuming you if that's all that's on your mind. I cant wait to hear more of your stuff too man ! and yh ill defo try to gt back into it as soon as i can

2:01 How did you put two diferent text lines? i can't do it in my fl studio, if i add text everything is written on the same line even when i hit enter to separate the text

Use a second text input. I have two HUD text inputs in Z game. In the text bar of Z game make sure your title or artist are on different lines ( one above the other). Then in a second the HUD Text make sure your change the slider with the text line is slide to the right 100%. You’ll have the change the y axis to bring it down. Let me know if that helps. that’s how I got to put it in a. Separate like.
