You made a good attempt and freed him from the rest of the net, but please check you have removed everything next time - I thought I saw some still round its neck, which will need removal soon, if so. Thank you for trying to help. We all need to do the same.

Ah. Shame he hadnt seen The ocean rescue team from Namibia. They get their seals onto the beach. Makes rescuing easier but never easy. mostly they use specialist nets but for babies often just catch there back feet and pull them up the beach. Have to watch those sharp teeth though. But well done.

Nice rescue thank God you were there and found the poor little chap
@AmericanStuff2024 Жыл бұрын
Horrible and cruel. And you left the baby seal with net all around its face and mouth so that now that seal will starve to death. People who want to see how sn actual seal rescue done should watch OCN channel.

I hope it all came off. Great job. Watch Oceans Namibia KZbin channel to see the constant seal rescuers from entanglements. The oceans are so full of trash, it's a wonder anything is still living in them.

Ocean Conservation Namibia saves dozens of seals every week. Such a shame the poor little pups are having to be rescued. Grateful for caring people like this!
@vaughnwilliams1208 Жыл бұрын
Even just a single loop of plastic around their growing necks will cause terrible damage and kill them in the future . Well done. Best to get them on the sand and hold their heads down while cutting the net. They have sharp teeth.

i wonder if some company could make a liquid that you throw on the seal and it dissolves the strings without hurting the seal.
