Question: this is the process of the supply system = compressor built air and send to the air dryer => governor => supply tank …. Air going over 120 psi governor stop the compressor or the compressor still building air (don’t stop) …. just don’t send more air to the air system?

They cover air brake systems in great detail ... right after they tell you that nothing they say should be trusted, and that if your brakes fail and you run over a Smart Car, killing a family of four ... it is not their fault.

I’m curious why the relay valve makes the apply/release faster. Is it connected with a smaller diameter pipe from the brake valve, and therefore less volume of air is needed to signal the apply/release?
@bobo77bob Жыл бұрын
yes like an electrical relay you use a small amount of air to control a large amount of air

That helped me refresh the semi brakes. I sent part 1 to 17 of my friends that work on or drive semis. I was in college in Havre 76 to 80. Then took a NAPA course about 2000. Thank you from north east Montana.

This video precisely answered a simple question I had about the systems!! In case of supply air failure, putting in an alternate air supply to either the wet tank, primary tank, or the secondary tank, will be usable to release the parking/spring brakes, on the tractor!!

If you are able, purchase other textbooks to go along with your studies. It's what I did and it helped. Older books may be dated but they do a better job of breaking things down to a level one can easily understand.
