Real time tone changes would be done by having a bigass pedal board and tapdancing on that bitch, or more modern solution would be running off a laptop with a midi exchanger/controller, which is what they would most likely use as I've seen them live and there was no pedal stomping going on.

8:11 Hello! I'm a year later to this lol but I'd like to comment that the guitar is indeed is custom and it's a Fernandes "STABILIZER" Hisashi Imai Model (The guitarist name). Left handed because he plays it that way regardless of him being right handed lol. Fernandes did a bunch of models for him, he uses most of them still today.

I'm very happy to see a reaction video of Kagerou! Thank you! They were an amazing band, and they will always be. I recommend you to check their other albums as well as singles; there is lots of gems. Also you can check Daisuke's other band "the studs" and his last solo project he did before he died "Daisuke to Kuro no Injatachi" RIP. Daisuke Ochida! <3

Yes, it's s a reference to Icarus with fame as a sun. He wasn't able to say goodbye to his mom as he was on tour when she was in the hospital.

Frst things first: thank you so much for all these BT reactions :) sad that I hadn't seen them until today but honestly I have always enjoyed BT alone more than together as it impacts me profoundly. And super appreciative of your lyrics analysis - it pains me how a lot of people with no Japanese knowledge will react to what is obviously a very theatrical piece and not bother to try to get it at all. So very appreciative!! In my opinion your analysis may be spot-on on one hand - they did some other songs referring to Icaros so pretty sure that may have been a deliberate association. On a personal level I could share a story. The vocalist/lyricist, Atsushi Sakurai didn't intend to be a professional musician though the others did (maybe? not sure about Hide but at least the other 3) just have fun. Their connections, weird musicianship (for the time/place) and clothing made them blow up and so began Buck-Tick Phenomenon with 87 major debut. On that year Atsushi's dad passed away - he was a struggling alcoholist ; band members were involved in Basic Rockstar Scandals like drugs (big thing over in Japan .. ) driving accidents, messy relations and all that according to rumours and of course media loved it. Atsushi got into alcohol contrary to his wishes he hated what it did to his dad but kept going since they were famous ; by 91 (this release's year) B-T Phenomenon was going strong meanwhile his mom was fighting cancer - she passed on that year and he has a song "Long Distance Call" that tells the story of his last call to her and it really sounds like he barely had the time and energy to devote any attention then. This release has a lot of themes relating to the sun (it's called "mad sun" after all) and a lot of people still consider it one of their strongests but I can't help but think of the suffering he must've felt - questions in the lyrics about getting out of it alive or not probably refer to his mom and also to his soul - will I have a place to return to when all of this madness is over? So yes in my humble opinion the Sun may have been the one that burned Icaros or it may be Japan (specifically the media and the grandmas' opinions and all) itself. In the end he kept doing this thing brilliantly for 35 years and helped so many until finally passing away on the stage - thankful for everything and hope his brilliance is acknowledged. Thanks a lot for your reactions seriously :)

One thing about Buck Tick is that do change up how they play and interpret songs with each tour. So they rarely play a song the same way twice. One of many reasons why I love this group.

What I imagine seems a lot like what you said. 😮 ❤ I imagine a king observing the devastated land of a very humble and good people as you will be the kingdom of the fairies. You describe fallen soldiers, cries of helpless fairies seeing other beautiful fairies consumed by fire. and in the quiet parts of the song images of burned houses and remains of these people.😢

I also recommend the live version of 'Comfortably Numb' from Pulse 1994. It's just a thrilling experience and brings the guitar solo front and center. I also suggest checking out 'Sorrow' from the Pulse concert, as well. I was fortunate to see David Gilmour on his solo tour in 2016. He only tours about once every 10 years, so I was lucky that he had released a solo album that year and was touring. Of course, he had to play the Pink Floyd classics, and it was so cool to hear those classic songs live! David Gilmour puts so much emotion into his playing (and singing).
