Hey, may I ask what lens you were using? I am thinking of getting a FS5 and a 35mm prime for documentary work. Do you think that would be usable to start off? Great work - dream big always, Tim

+Spinrad N what about the dual handles? That came out later than I made the review. That's a nice option right?

Hi, just wanna know, how was the handling of this gimbal? using those wooden grip? is it better than just the pistol grip only?
@kortomvideo21897 жыл бұрын
+Patrick Molleda yes for sure. With one hand you will not be able to hold it long due to the weight. Your hand will shake sooner and you will be less stable. It's comfortable to use it and I sometimes only use the left handle grip when I need to stabilize myself on a bike backseat for example. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lX2nXo2Yn8ynn8k And even then this holds better than the pistol grip with a "large" camera.
@GamerGeeksNL7 жыл бұрын
@kortomvideo21897 жыл бұрын

How can you watch the frame in the monitor if the gimbal is in front of it?
@kortomvideo21897 жыл бұрын

@kortom video Awesome review, from the gimbal's aesthetic is on point, very sexy and classy, but I would like to see a comparison of this to Zhiyun Crane 2, since as of the moment it is the number 1 gimbal of all. performance, battery life, ergonomic, and its stability. I hope to see it here in your channel.

Kortom Video No focus/Exposure control?
@kortomvideo21897 жыл бұрын
+Ian H no, that's why I chose the a6500. Very good auto focus and exposure to auto. It's not handy anyways to add this to the things you need to do while handling the gymbal. You can chose to all do this, but an extra person with focus remote and exposure will be great. Tilta now also has these remote focus pulling units. Nucleus-M

@kortomvideo21897 жыл бұрын
+Abel Andrade you lock it without the need of tools. I think that's what you mean with the locking mechanism? Overall a very nice build piece of equipment!

Do you feel it is capable of carring a BMCC camera , as a matter of size ? (I believe the G1 is more than capable to handle the weight of BMCC and even a heavy lens , but i do not know about the size) Thank you for posting/sharing this video. Very informative !!! (Where can i order these grips , from Europe ?)
@kortomvideo21897 жыл бұрын
+Hollywood-Wedding-Films.com it can carry it, but you will have to know you're limited to fully turn he whole system. You can then only move to a certain degree. If the lens is to heavy to balance it right, put more weight in the back, by a camera cage. So I think it's possible. Ask the guys at "Socrates AV" for more info. That's where I've ordered it!

+Christian Cotrone if it's under 3 kg and can be well balanced without hitting the arms of the gymbal you're good. I got the advise if the lens is to heavy compared to the body, use a case around the body to add more weight so the lens can balance better to the camera

Great video Tom! The cable Tom mentioned is standard with the right side Tilta TT-0510-R handle but not really intended to use with this gimbal. Too short indeed. It is meant for standard Tilta cages and rigs for Sony 6500 and A7s series camera’s. We will check with Tilta if we can come up with a special version of the cable that works with the G1 gimbal. Keep you posted.
