Can't stand an adaptation that doesn't actually understand or appreciate its source material. "What if Juliet had agency and made her own decisions?" What if you actually read the play. The Juliet of the play is such a vibrant, active participant in her life. For better and for worse, she makes her own decisions, convinces her nurse to go along with them, and takes chances that go wrong. The premise of this show had potential, but ultimately it makes a wonderful character a lot less three dimensional than she was in the original play.

I was blessed to be born a bit later than when this song came out, so I have no clue what the original sounds like. I was like, "huh, this sounds like a ligit original even though i know it's not." I'm fine continuing to not know the original, this will do just fine.

@ I know that this is an add and she is told to promote this. It’s still a crazy thing to ask of people. Broadway show tickets are very expensive. Also she’s grown up in a super wealthy family even before her tik tok stuff so she is insanely out of touch with average Americans.

it’s actually pretty easy to find cheaper ways to get decent seats. I’ve been to both shows for under $300 all together in very good seats. tbf i live and study in new york so seeing shows are much cheaper and convenient, but you saying it’s basically impossible for anyone to see both shows makes you sound out of touch.
