I have only watched your video today after watching your table saw bench video. A good bench by the way, and something I have to make very soon. I had a pond in my previous house but moved closer to the sea where we are plagued by Gulls, so I decided on no pond much as I loved the old one. I am getting older now and the ground is very hard to dig here, so a raised pond would be a good option as I could cover it too. I have just finished a patio and I could place it beside it there and extend the pergola over it too. Next years project; as I go for my second hip replacement in two weeks. So I will have some rest time before Christmas and no projects allowed.🙁 I will put some shelving inside it to have water plants as they also take excess nitrates out of the water helping clarity. But if you have Koi they like to pull plants about. If you can get Barley Straw and it must be barley straw, it will keep your water crystal clear. It takes a couple of weeks for whatever enzyme is in the straw to do its work. I used to place it in the top of my filter box, or you can let it float in a ladies nylon sock. Even without the UV light, on the water was crystal clear. The story goes a farmer lost a bale of straw off his trailer passing the farm pond which was in a pretty poor state. It bobbed off into the center of the pond so he left it there. A few weeks later it was almost clear.
