If they demand everyone else live according to their rules - I would like to see them show us how it’s done. Stop using any service or product that has had oil, gas or coal used in its production, including fertiliser, farming & transport, foundries producing steel/glass… medicines/medical equipment and stop using asphalt roads! Wonder how the fellow thought his glasses, clothes, hygienic products, tap water were produced - the tooth fairy? Send him to Africa for a while, a rural village in The Central African Republic for a few years - interesting documentary on their transport, roads, healthcare….

Larch is a true champion for leaving a liveable future for all our children. His imprisonment is a symptom of a system that silences the messengers that tell the truth that we are being lied to about the carbon criminals. It dose this so it can continue making profits at the cost to our life support system. Larch is a hero and an inspiration.

Of course they won't. National Grid alone estimated £3 TRILLION. We do not have the money especially as we won't have growth. They'll put solar panels in arable fields so less food grown so it will have to be imported. Wind turbines in fields so again less food. Bad for animals and the environment. Wind turbines in the sea so bad for the environment. What happens after their lifespan? The blades can't be recycled. Ev cars promote child labour. Mining and destroying landscapes and toxic water then going into the water. Have you actually watched respected climate scientists who don't rely on funding speak about climate???? Please do. Even IPCC say it's not an imminent emergency. How much CO2 in the atmosphere?? 0.04pc Minimum number of items from oil including phones, medications, cars, etc etc. 6,500 items including vegan shoes and Just Stop Oil waistcoats 😂😂

I think a good way to frame the argument for releasing political prisoners is to point out that the government is constantly under pressure from industrial lobbies like the fossil fuel industry and the animal agriculture industry which want to pollute endlessly and with no consequences. And we have to have a counterweight in society that is actively pushing the government in the other direction, in the right direction. The reality of politics in our current system is that it's only with the application of real pressure on the government by people as opposed to industrial lobbies that we hope to get the change we need. I suspect people like Ed Milliband would actually welcome more pressure on the streets And from society large. It would help him walk into meetings with the fossil fuel industry and tell them "sorry but my hands are tied . There's just all these people on the streets all the time!".

Well, and Lammy is correct. The problem is, words are cheap. _When_ is Labour going to start treating the Climate crisis like the emergency that it is? The Tories didn't give a tinker's cuss about it; is Labour going to be just like them, or are they going to pull up their socks, roll up their sleeves and get cracking? It doesn't warm my cockles to see those ministers on the Labour Conference podium with their extremely smug smiles as though they're the cats that just got the cream and all looking like there's no hurry.

There is a direct relationship of authoritarian government and supporting the use and sale of arms to avoiding action on climate change. Suppressing criticism of government policy is an attempt to maintain the status quo and remove any examination.
