They didn’t. The bullet holes were there. There is pictures that clearly show them, and it’s also been confirmed by Chris Nelson.

They fucked up this detail Plus the idea of capturing him was so lame. I believe Halloween started with 78 and ends with Halloween 81 , michael and loomis both blow up and burn. That's it done
