I first took his classes in the 80's in San Francisco, as a classically trained ballerina , his choreography flowed through me and he helped put me on top of my dance game. His classes were intense, intimidating and challenging, but phenomenal. I had such a crush on Ed, a bald, beautiful, gay black man. I was young and broke, would drive to from Marin to take his class. I remember one NYE class he didn't show, no reason...I was bummed out...wanted that fix of his energetic movement. I had no idea what he was going through, obviously he was sick.. Quickly, his health began to decline, his beautiful, strong body withered away with my spirit. He was the first person I knew to die of AIDS, which at the time, we didn't know much about. I remember his sweat on my body from partnering and wondered if I would get it too? There were so many unknowns at that time.....overwhelmed by watching someone, I loved, with so much talent, be taken from us. The dance world went dark after that. Thanks for making this documentary and I'll keep and eye out for it!

Talk about an improviser! His key gets stuck within the first few notes and he just -- never uses it again!

So proud to see Manolo on this format. I loved across the street from him as kids. He was always a very nice young man. All the best to you Manolo.

AI can generate more interesting "music" than that. People are idiots. You may just grow hair and beard and play random shit and they will call you " prophet of piano" buahahahahahahahaha

I knew Kren when he was a museum guard in Houston. At an all-employee meeting, the director (Peter Marzio) was speaking, and made some unmemorable remark. From the back of the auditorium, I heard Kurt’s distinctive retort: “Bullshit.” We were both in the Houston Atari Computer Enthusiast group, and shared crude animations we had laboriously made, now lost, unfortunately.
