@@juliussd5901 freezing is an emulator issue - any accurate emulator will give you a sol blade but some of the lower quality ones will crash.

Pretty much. We've since learned that we're reading the give instruction of the Elixir chest later on in the dungeon (which for some reason is a 0xA instead of a 0x1) so even the most inaccurate emulator is likely to still have this work.

Currently it's very hard to route her out of the run; the defense bonuses from the platinum circlets are very relevant on Serpent and Poseidon, and the War Gloves are very relevant for late game Shuriken encounter math.

This doesn't really work because if you had perfect RNG you'd make different decisions in the route. For instance, getting things like Stun proc on Killer Ape, Sleep proc on Manticore etc. A reasonable everything goes amazing run would be about 3:10:xx

Here's the info about Isaac: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYvXn5aglrOphdE Retreat glitch basically happens when you use retreat from a hotkey and it fails. Inside the code the area actually gets updated leading to a mismatch between current area and what the game thinks is your area (internal area), this allows you to interact with objects and have those objects be looked up relative to the internal area causing fun effects like early Isaac. Save/Quit will also store the internal area as the current area and can allow you to warp oob.

Yep. Basically used to eliminate RNG manipulation and overly powerful glitches.

Can't quite get them in to the end game since you need the umbra gear (which requires himi, which requires going through belinsk, which requires Tyrell & Rief) but you can take them to Apollo Ascent or get them to say hi to their old buddy Briggs etc.

It's more we use the debug functionality to warp to the credits. Most things in GS are handled through this mechanism.

It's okay if you don't like glitched runs, but everything you see was done on real hardware with no mods or cheats.

It was certainly something. We played around with it for another hour or so and found a couple interesting ways to crash the game. I think Dyrati will have a solve for the void issue in no time.

Yes it works on all versions.

Doesn't really change anything for me; but it does allow access to some of the higher level classes (like Master/Ronin).

@@TL_Plexa Thanks for the reply! That is something I was looking at - are their stat bonuses actually coded in? I saw conflicting answers. I know some spells aren't. And I guess at least two of them will need to be Mercury based classes, so White Mage/Dragoon/Warlock/Medium, right? (Incidentally, this is the first time I've realized there's no Mercury or Mars counterpart to Samurai and White Mage. Weird.)

As far as I recall, they have stat bonuses but no abilities. Could be wrong, I don't really deal with mialess stuff very often. @@comicmoniker

Make sure you enter from the other entrance, not the one from the top of Airs Rock exterior.

@@jebroiroij2176 You don't need to complete the whole dungeon, just need to gain access to the back door (which is around the time you use whirlwind to "turn on" the Moai). Often what we'll do in the speedrun is exit/enter through the back entrance right before turning on the Moai since the Moai on the ground floor takes you back to the first room of the dungeon.
