Hi, do you know why after loading the backup the C1000 appliance is blocked that does not allow access or work with it or directly having a keyboard and screen connected to the computer?

Hi Herman, i saw you use the same signed CSR on all clearpass. Is there any prequsties i need to do before that? As i saw you use the SAN Dns: radius.arubalab.loc instead of individual clearpass IP address

@hermanrobers on my C2010s the TPM UEFI Option ROM Management is enabled before the upgrade and watching your guide is that of concern on my appliances or is it safe to leave enabled. Thanks, Chris

It probably is TPM Option ROM Measurement, which appears to be a security feature to ensure integrity of your Option ROM (internal component of the hardware). If it's enabled now, and there is no indication in the documentation to disable it, I suppose it should be safe to leave it enabled. If you are still unsure, it may be good to ask Aruba Support for authoritative guidance.

You might need to watch it again; USB aux ports should be turned off if it is unused, not the console. We suggest enabling AAA on the console. Regards, yash

Yes, in AOS-10 you can set that on the Configuration - Interfaces - Uplink. Under AP1X Type select TLS, under Certificate Type select TPM.

@@hermanrobers I'm having issues. Can you make a video on performing EAP-TLS on the AP uplink using the TPM chip in AOS 10? I configured it in Aruba Central and rebooted the AP, but the AP seems to be timing out, not completing the EAP transaction, according to ClearPass Access Tracker.

why are you using the word core to describe the the spine layer in your l3 spine a leaf diagram, that is confusing. the word core is not appropriate to describe that layer in a spine/leaf architecture, core should be used to say you are interfacing with say the campus core from your border leaf.

I have my VS Code set up with python. I am using the 'Code Runner' extension to allow me to run my scripts by clicking on the 'play' icon at the top right of the window. I have configured the IDE to run scripts in the terminal. There is a drop down next to the play button and if I choose 'Run Python File' , output of the terminal looks correct. If I choose 'Run Code' I get lots of erroneous blank lines printed with output. Does anyone else get this? Does anyone have a fix?

Hello, authentication & policy menu is not showing in my Aruba Central and when I reach for it in the search bar and choose it it give me "Current user does not have sufficient permissions to make this change. Please contact your administrator" any idea...I am assigned as "Aruba Central administrator" in the user identity and permissions.

What happened me a few times it that I was in a specific Central configuration group, and Authentication & Policy is only accessible on the global group level. Maybe that's the same with you?

@@hermanrobers I got the reply for that from Aruba support. Actually some deployment regions doesn't support the "authentication & policy menu" I was on MEA region and I had to deploy the Aruba central In a new region and migrated the AP to it to make it work

On Aruba WLAN this works different, if you search for DUR (Downloadable User Role), you probably will find what you need. Here's a video on DUR for Aruba Instant: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqi2eYOur5x1a9E . For controllers it's slightly different.

I actually just worked on a Role-Based Access, and assigned the role using Clearpass, using the 'If Aruba-User-Role equals <xxxx> then assign role <role>' then the role has access rules defined on the AP. I have yet to test it. I'll review your way too. At least your way I don't have to set up 'x' roles on all the APs, just do it through ClearPass. THANK YOU!

Did you paste in that variable from an if-else script? I find there is a gap in the sequence. After uploading the modified variable excel document, we need to go to the specific switch template and add if-else statements to pull the variables from the script?
