I would say as great as ever! The concert in this video was the only one not completely packed (which is actually one reason it was the only one I attended). My other couple of videos might seem more as you expect, but I’ve noticed that each person’s individual videos always reflect their own personal version of the festival (mine also reflect the times when I’m not playing or dancing). I was with my Swedish friends a lot so there were a lot of Swedish tunes.

@@joelstewart2255 Thanks for replying. Mine were the same, although I haven't uploaded to KZbin since returning to the UK sadly. We lived 30 mins drive from the festival. The only reason I mentioned it was I know a lot of the people who go to Bal Trads & Fest Noz, which is where I would spend most weekends when I lived there and usually I see at least a few that I know in videos and this year I haven't spotted one. Hopefully I can get there next year, although all being well I hope to see War-Sav at some point later this year.

I love this tune and the show - I too love watching it with my three year old daughter. What kind of squeezebox does Toby Dog (and you!) play. There seems to be so many types!!

Abney and Teal is one of my favorite shows off all time, it takes we away to such a beautiful place, an innocent oasis in the middle of the grime of life. My daughter and I always watch it before bedtime, it's our special show and we often play at imagining we are visiting the island. I love this song because of the connection to the show, you should upload a clean studio version if you have it. Also I would love to have a copy of the ringtone from the episode "The Handbag", which is my favorite episode. I want it for my ringtone :)

Hi Joel, can't find notation for this tune anywhere, is it in Em? Any chance you could tell me the notes of the first few bars to get me started, I'm struggling to pick it up by ear. Many thanks, Simon.

Hi Craig. It's a Nyckelharpa. It's the unofficial national instrument of Sweden (appears on their banknotes), but this one is a German one built in the style of recent French instruments, so quite pan-european (a few Swedish traditionalists don't approve of the fourth row of keys -although the design of modern Swedish instruments is only about 100 years old itself.)

Sorry, missed this question. It's a Castagnari Lilly and is the one that Tim recorded and wrote the original Toby tune on (Though he added some bass from his own, I think).

Ok, I can play cross-harp, and I have a two and a half row Hohner Club; I'll see what I can find out on Cajun two-step melodeon (they call it accordion, I think)

I expect it is a little pricey for making a start, although a good quality instrument should retain it's value better than a cheap one, and is far easier to learn on.
