Thank you. I do agree, I'm just sharing my experience and results I got. This is just one sample size, so can't really answer the question anyway. Rather than that, I only wanted to tell people who's new and want to overclock to not set expectations too high.
@YaBaDji27 күн бұрын
Are you serious??!? Because I overclocked before you were born....
@CrippledTech27 күн бұрын
I never said you should or shouldn't overclock. I'm only sharing my rough experience. Maybe my presentation was a bit misleading which I didn't notice. You could have just pointed that out. Good that you have more experience than me, so if you have any suggestions or constructive criticisms, I do welcome those. Just stating you know more doesn't really help anyone.

Sounds a bit crazy but A.I has repaired my P.C by telling me how to root out Norton,AVG, Mcafee and CCleaner residue. I even lost my sound until it guided me on how to recover it. A.I. is a lot of help on PC issues. The uninstaller sounds like a winner too. Thanks.

Kryonaut is a poor choice. Kryonaut has a thermal conductivity of 12.5 W/m-K, while Pullsar Pullwark BOLD has 20 W/m-K...
@CrippledTech2 ай бұрын
I have not heard of Pullsar until now. Thanks for the recommendation. But to say Kryonaut is a poor choice is a bit too extreme in my opinion. Since it still improved my temps compared to stock even before the crashing issue. And there are more factors to consider other than the thermal conductivity, like the availability in the region. So even if I was aware of Pullsar at the time, I still wouldn't be able to get it cuz it's unavailable in my country.

Next time you need to repaste give ptm7950 a try, it lasts longer than regular paste which doesn't last long in high end GPUs due to pump out

While I am a bit uncomfortable repasting myself, I kinda want to do it myself as I've never done anything like this and I would like to try out. I like tinkering with my PC 😆 Gives me an opportunity to disassemble a graphics card and work on it now
@xcom96483 ай бұрын
Did you try undervolting?
@CrippledTech3 ай бұрын
My card model doesn't allow voltage tweaking, only Power Limit, Temp Limit, Core Clock, & Memory Clock. So not an option for me. Further testing after the video also indicates that temperature is the abnormality, so I'm leaning towards repasting the card now. 🥹
@emilgustavsson73103 ай бұрын
Good luck brother. Take the time needed for tutorials on repasting, and let the process take it's time. You'll fix this bro, no worries, just a bit of work. (edit: clean that b!tch good while you have it disassembled, don't go overboard but clean it good) Fellow 3070Ti user here. Got the ROG Strix tho. This beeyatch won't ever overheat... =) Never above 60 degrees C even when pathtracing. Edit 2: I didn't watch the whole video but insteaqd pretty much went off the comments below... I have 40 years of PC building at work so i think i could help you. Tell me in short terms all of the data... temps, OS behaviour, fan behaviour etc. and i will get back to you. That is if you haven't properly concluded that repasting in FACT is the solution. My card is cool AF but it is a very expensive 3070Ti... i think the most expensive there is lol. No matter what, once again: Good luck, you'll be fine bro.
@CrippledTech3 ай бұрын
The data I have now is basically the same crashing behavior in both Time Spy Extreme & Port Royal. That said, I have not monitored the hotspot temps while running those benchmarks yet cuz of time & schedule. The fan curve is my own custom curve set with Afterburner. Whenever it crashed, it's just no more display signal while the fans seem stuck at the same RPM at the moment of the crash. I once crashed while playing Jedi Survivor during which I was connected to a Discord voice channel. Looks like the same behavior of crash losing display signal & can't do anything until reset or restart, but the Discord voice channel is still connected & functioning after the crash without a display signal. The only time I have monitored both edge temp & hotspot temp is when running the GPU calibration for Davinci Resolve Studio, same crashing behavior with temp limit at 90°C while it passed with 83°C temp limit(default). Though I can't verify if that's an outlier cuz I cannot rerun the calibration once it's done. Any workloads that pushes the GPU hard, edge temp is around 70 to 75°C while hotspot temps are above 100°C based on a few calibration runs that crashed, & the one time it passed in the video. Thanks for your information though. I feel like repasting is the solution but I haven't gotten any artifacts or anything, just a hard crash losing display signal with programs other than the one pushing the GPU still functioning after the crash as indicated with the Discord call. So that is a bit odd
@emilgustavsson73103 ай бұрын
@@CrippledTech While i will agree that it is odd, repasting seems to be the next logical step. 100%. Take your time and find a good tutorial. It will be nervewracking and a bit laborious but it ain't hard. I really think repasting it will solve your problem tho. I hope so because that is the only fix i can think about right now lol. Good luck.
@CrippledTech3 ай бұрын
@@emilgustavsson7310 yep. That is my plan after I verify the temps again with both of the 3DMark benchmarks. Will update if it doesn't line up with the benchmarks. Starting to prepare everything I need for the repaste. Look forward to the video of me disassembling a graphics card for the first time. 😉 Thanks for your assistance! 😁
@Roman007443 ай бұрын
No choice, need to take it apart and repaste. I suggest looking for a vid on disassembly and repasting of that GPU model, I use Arctic MX4 thermal paste, cheap, works well, last long, find out what thickness pads the card needs and buy them in case the pads get destroyed while you take apart the card or if they're in bad condition. Watch a few videos on disassembling any video cards and repasting them, the process is very similar for all cards.
@CrippledTech3 ай бұрын
Yea, further testing indicates the same. I'll need to prepare thermal paste & isopropyl alcohol for the repaste. Thanks for the feedback though.

looks nice some games tend to leave folders or save files in appdata, it gets pretty cluttered after some time and can be hard to find specific stuff like that
@CrippledTech4 ай бұрын
Yes, this is exactly what the app can scan and find everything. Totally forgot to mention that you can choose what folders or files to leave behind if you're uninstalling a game but wants to keep the game save files. Applies to other programs and their files too if for some reason you want to keep certain files but get rid of the rest.

Dont forget to look into PC power optimization settings, and for sound Windows Surround settings/DTS X/Dolby Surround/THX Spatial etc. Also, Windows by default nerfs your INTERNET drivers so go into devices/ethernet adapter/properties and turn off power saving modes on your internet adapters! Man I hate windows
@CrippledTech4 ай бұрын

@CrippledTech4 ай бұрын
Yea, that's what I get for not reading everything on a settings/configuration page. It can be a confusing thing for beginners, so I'm not that surprised that this is very common. Maybe they should add a GSync status in the control panel to just show that it's enabled or not. Though I doubt they'll do it since they have stuck with the same control panel for years even before I got into PCMR

Hey, congratulations on your new car ! just wondering, how do you get the dealer to install 3rd party dashcam for you, and does it void warranty? Thanks !
@CrippledTech Жыл бұрын
Thanks, as for the dashcam, I just told the salesperson I had bought a third party dashcam and given it to him for him to install before the car arrived. It doesn't void the warranty since the dealership did the installation themselves. Different dealerships might be different so please ask and confirm before making decisions.

@CrippledTech Жыл бұрын
Been driving the car for 10 months, so far no abnormal sounds from anything. Just the engine and transmission are louder than expected, but upon further research, I found out that it's normal for CVT transmission to be louder than other types of transmission. Since this is my first experience with a CTV transmission vehicle.
