The best solution that we've done is to remove the drawers just like what you said. We were able to take the drawer fronts off and screw them onto a plank to hold them in place. At that point the drawers become just a face. Then you can put the base into the bed frame with no issues.

Explain the condensation? Other than that, yes the purple is a base friendly mattress so you shouldn't have any issues at all.

I sleep on a Technogel Favola TXL. It's great on my shoulders, medium support level. I slept on a Thermobalance Splendor before and LOVED it. My wife sleeps on a Southerland Sierra Latex Hybrid. It's been her favorite mattress now for the past 3 years. It's a medium support, but it leans more to plush feel.

The viscosity of the gel keeps the pillow from overheating. I sleep on a Technogel pillow, but I will warn you that if you sleep on the side of the pillow without the gel, you will experience a damp pillow as that side will tend to hold heat. I have done that accidentally several times.

Slats are necessary to hold the bunkie on the frame. Bunkie boards don't take the place of the frame support, they add to the structure for the mattress to have a solid floor.

We've been lucky enough to try them all. Here's my favs: 1. Celliant with Tencel. 2. Tencel. 3. Bamboo. If you're a Tencel fan you'd love the healing power of celliant with the breathable Tencel fabric.

Totally makes sense. The base doesn't change. UNLESS you are doing what I talk about in the video and getting a bed with drawers, in that case it changes everything. Otherwise the bed just wraps around your base. Make sense?

Most beds fit an adjustable. They wrap around the legs. The issue sometimes, and unfortunately you won't know till you get it, is the rail/bar that holds up the slats is too thick for a base. In that case you will have to remove that rail.

I've never heard this! What a great comment! I looked this up and researched it to make sure I knew what I was talking about. Let's start with the easiest part first: Latex that is free from chemicals is flagged -OEKO-TEX Standard 100. This is a standard tag that means the latex has been tested for dangerous chemicals. There are other tags but this one is the most common one. As far as ants- This a fun research. I looked all over to see if anyone had ever heard this. I found nothing. I know ants will look for heat and humidity. Maybe that's where that comes from? I can see someone having a bed that never airs out and dries from nightly sweat having an issue with ants. I think this one can be filed as a wives tale. I'll be using this for my weekly video. I appreciate the question so much thank you!

I’ve been researching so long to find the perfect topper for my new firm bed, and I went with the turmerry medium latex egg crate topper..but I’ve read a few people say they had ants or mold because of the moisture I guess? I’m more confused about the cover I need to get for it now to keep it dry and protected..

Same. It's still a platform, but a higher quality one. I didn't include that in the video because they're rare to find in our customer's homes.

Adjustables go right into the bed frames. You just remove the slats that are currently holding up your foundation. I don't like using bases on beds that have drawers, but it is doable. Just not a great result.

Topper or protector? Topper would negate the entire effect. A protector, a good protector would not effect it at all.

It's a super plush, like super plush. By design it's going to yield. But, you are correct, it's not something I would recommend to an edge sleeper or a senior needing safety.

The problem with that is, years ago many many licensees would make Englander models. A lot of those went out of business and finding vene the construction points of those beds would be near impossible.

There is the Badcock Stella.. which seems based off of it... but they don't stock it.. just online order.. It makes you question how they expect to sell "house brand" beds when you cant even try them in 2024? Edit: Badcock also sells Sealy.. but they are NOT Sealy. They're made by the manufacturers with englander patents..

If you're just looking for the frame, no, not really. You are supposed to be able to use an adjustable base, but our experience has been that using a base on that style of bed makes the bed too high for most people. We have done several where the height of the mattress is almost 36 inches high. That is ridiculous tall.

Comparing Latex and memory foam won't work. The feel and support at way too different. Do you like to sink into your bed or would you be ok with sleeping on top of your bed? Latex is soft but supports you in a way that you are sleeping on your bed. Memory foam feels like your in your bed, like almost a hug. You either like the memory foam or you don't. It's that divisive. I am not a fan of memory foam as much as I am for latex. The support is better, the back pain disappears, and it lasts a whole lot longer. Hope this help!!!

Make sure you contact your store. Englander backs their products. Also watch our video on reasons why mattresses get body impressions quickly. There are many instances where bedroom furniture may be causing the issue.

That's the only way to do it, is to get to it.

Wire coils. They control the amount of support by the thickness of the coil. There are mattress models called five zone or seven zone that have alternated thick coils and thinner coils so that heavier parts, like your shoulder and hip area are supported better.
