Nice Bow for sure. Was at a funeral for a cousin last week. If you live long enough you will reach a point where you know more people below ground then above. Like you say enjoy every minute. Been too cold to shoot outside up here. Winter arrived with a vengeance. Got into Archery at the start of covid. Read a couple of books and watched a whack of KZbin videos. My first bow was a 50# Bear Grizzly. Strung er up. Couldn't pull the sucker back! I thought, what the hell did I get into? Well, I can shoot it now no problem. Mr. Bear knew how to build bows. Sorry about your Buddy. Keep on Shooting!

Sorry about all the issues. Bear has started making that model Grizzly again, just not as pretty should you want one in a lighter weight. They are $600.

Nice bow I like all the older ones I just bought a 1957 grizzly at the Kalamazoo Michigan traditional archery expo along with two other older bear bows, yours shoots good for you thanks for sharing and take care.

Nice video. I have one of those. I don't use those bolts, though. I shoot slightly wider and longer carbon bolts about 7-1/2 inches long fletched with 2 rubber vanes. I also mounted a red dot sight on it. It's not bad as far as 25 yards or so.

Love those 76er’s. Yes Sir we are -10 But it’s supposed to start warming back up starting tomorrow. I hope the old vehicle has a hard time starting when it’s that cold out. God bless.

We had -16 the last couple of mornings here in NW Pennsylvania. We usually have 10 to 15 deer in our backyard at night. The last 2 mornings we’ve had a doe bedded in one of our basement windows tight to the basement. Smart deer, out of the wind and 2 feet of snow.

It was sad to hear Bob passed. I remember listening to him as well. I lost my hunting spot five years ago. The farmer whose land I had permission to hunt was sold when he passed.I had hunted there since 1970. Hunt strictly public land here in Pennsylvania now. Enjoy the nice weather while you can Rambler.

Yes....I'll have to start looking for some public land spots for the turkey season. I'm gonna se some cameras up at the farm that I deer hunt at and see if some start moving through there. This weather will be gone by morning! Brutally cold weather is on the way, which I kind of like anyways...lol

Too bad. Hope you can find another farm for Turkey Hunting. I'm fortunate that I still have cousins with Farms in our area for Turkey and Deer. Yes, cold snap coming up here in Ontario too. -20C which is -4F here on the weekend! Shooting inside the garage with the Buddy Heater on. Stay Warm.

I'll still be shooting outside but for far shorter periods of time! Lol As far as turkey hunting goes. I still could hunt the farm I deer hunt on but I rarely see turkeys there. I might have to do some serious scouting on the public land areas around here.

I had it on my Oneida, Unfortunately my buck came through when I was using my Darton so I didn't get to use it on an animal yet. I think I'm going to buy another one and keep one on each of my hunting bows this year.

How do you age the bow?

The bows made in the 60's the serial number starts with a number which is the year it was made...that bow has a serial number that starts with a 9 so I know it's a 69. It is more difficult to age the bows in the 70's.

LOL! I just used some modeling paint and then sprayed on a clear coat. It's a one of a kind!
