@@AlienAmongst sequel plot: Driver finds a way out, brings the car; moving to Nevada or Wyoming. Weirdness starts to arise in the area. Further investigation reveals that the car triggered an event, but was not the full cause. Driver and whoever try to figure out what connects the car to this event and whether this was inevitable, and if it’s even able to be stopped, like into the Olympic peninsula. Callback to Oppy if wanted(she is out there somewhere), maybe a patch through to the radio investigator(I forgot her name). Alternatively, the government comes back, more thoroughly prepared to quash the zone’s… Instability. The few that stayed are now aiding the driver, as the area is self-contained(or is it?), and they want to be left alone. Radio investigator starts to report on the events from an actual radio station, calling out the government for their shadiness in this or something similar. Could be fun narratively, though I don’t know how the gameplay would work. Maybe the meddling results in more aggressive anomalies? Maybe the neighborhood you live in has zone-ified creatures for a change. No blue doors here. Hopefully.

@@DoenSnikduj In "Roadside Picnic" novel there was such "feature" - if somebody who lived in the Zone during the Incident decided to move to different town, the town started to suffer from storms, accidents and floods.

If you haven't played this yet, I highly recommend it. This is such an awesome game. It's one of those games that I beat, and put down a while, then come back and play through it again many times. At least the Steam version, I can't speak for the PS5 version.
