Whilst I’m disappointed that you lost your previous account, I am glad you are continuing with this series. Wizard101 is a very nostalgic game for me and I wish to play it more in the future. If you need any tips or help with getting started, do let me know as I am a higher level (finished mooshu).

I'm from 2016 (I created an alt because I got accidently banned in my main :/) and imo the only kinda "classic"-like game they added was Bee Swarm simulator. I really was spectating games like Work At a Pizza Place, Survive Area 51(not so classic, tho it is in the heart of many players), Disaster Survival and many others :(

Lets debate in the replies about which year was best. I think 2018-2019 was great, roblox was good and nice, no toxics, and you were able to play mm2 without some cringe girls using bypassed t-shirts and an amputated leg teaming up on you and flexing their ultra super omega deluxe premium ultimate collosal pro plus legendary godly knife and gun while teaming up. It was before roblox went downhill with the dumb dynamic faces, and the whole stevie standard pandemic. Before ugc chaos. It was nice. It was great. It was peaceful.

In my opinion, 2014 was a good year for me on Roblox. Murder mystery was released and there were many fun games and events!

I started Roblox in October 2016, and I was addicted to Murder Mystery 2 during that time. It was only in 2017 that I started expanding my friends list and played more games. 2017 is the best year for me personally due to the fact most Roblox games were playable compared to now. You'd see Jailbreak no. 1 and every game having its own idea and direction. Simulators weren't a problem because they weren't so greedy and uninspired as they are in current times. I find this year also to be really good for Roblox content creation, as every youtuber had an opportunity to decide what they make content on (roleplays, speedruns, gameplays etc.). Avatar trends also were more fun and quirky, and even then the free avatars had a charm to them that made them nice. This actually helped bond the community instead of separating it by using avatars as a way to form cliques (Slenders, Copy and Pastes, Preppies etc.). Speaking of the community, Roblox tried harder with their events. They were less of a way to form connections with brands, and more so to offer the community fun activities to do. They gave developers opportunities to grow this way aswell. Everyone was kinder and you could have fun just because of the server having a lot of cool and funny people in it.

As a classic player (follow and sub to my channel since I make Roblox videos and it shows I am classic and OG), I think the event was poorly made excuse for the backlash from The Hunt. We don’t want to go find tix and do ugly quests in these NEW GEN games. Roblox is going backwards and not in a good way. LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE!

I believe the main reason why they even included games like ttd is because they want to promote them, they ARE really popular, have a lot of players and just quite marketable unlike games like SOFTH where, since they already died and gave all they can give, they decided to not include them, it's either that or they just want to show older players the good & trendy stuff.

Now that I think about it this event primarily struggled because the games chosen were much newer, coming from or blowing up around 2018 and onward, while the actual theming of the hub and games like it were set over a decade ago. Maybe that dissonance is why so many older players find trouble with the event? Im probably just looking too far into it haha. I made a video essay looking into the thing and with how little time we've had to play I've only just now had time to fully digest everything. Fun event regardless, and good video :D

Yea it's my personal belief that Roblox genuinely just cares so little that they would rather leave it to the community to do their work for them- and honestly I don't blame them for that. About half of the games were really good, the other half really bad. A mixed batch to be certain, but the classic's hub really brings it all together. I started playing in 2015 and I had a lot of fun personally, the way the event was designed let you skip over the half of the games that truly sucked. It's sad to see that they didn't even use games like Crossroads or anything despite updating the old code to work again and re-releasing the game for a little bit, but I think some of the newer games were definitely not all bad. That said maybe I'm just not as jaded as some of you older players haha.

The Classic event immediately gave me flashbacks to Roblox a decade ago, like it just made me remember the times I played Roblox back then and I teared up upon reminiscing via the hub landscape, old references, etc. I enjoyed the classic roblox games like Bedwars a lot. This event was a trip down memory lane for sure. 😭😭🥺🥺💖💖
