No Lucali? Scarr? Paulie G? Slice? De Faro's? Louigis? The spots good, but they are not the best. They need to get out of Manhattan and go to Brooklyn.

Italys most prestigious pizza ranking organization, 50 top pizza, rated NY pizza #1 in the world. While it is one of italys top foods (maybe the very top), italy didnt invent pizza, they just invented the name and made it more popular. NY perfected it. Pizza is just the dough, and people have been putting toppings (including cheese, dates, veggies and fish) on dough/bread for thousands of years before italy did it. The first dough was invented 14,000 years ago. Ancient persians have been putting toppings on pizza/dough longer than italy, as well as other civilizations.

I don't get the "crunchy" comments, proper pizza isn't crunchy but elastic lol
@Mmmmchimkin2 күн бұрын
Good pizza can be crispy too. All pizza isn't doughy. You need to broaden your horizons
@raul900ification2 күн бұрын
@@Mmmmchimkin There might be good crispy pizzas but commenting "crispy" as a seeked characteristic of a good pizza by italians is weird as fuck.

You were so close! Bens Pizzeria on W 3rd and MacDougal (seen in the opening of _Louie_ ) is the best real pizza. All the "top" places are riding on yt reactions. AND, E 40th btwn 5th and Madison, south side of street. Don't know name, but they use a light sourdough that's really tasty and unique.
