The guts it takes to add that second flip is beyond me. I could do one (barely) and did did double backs off the diving board all the time, but I'm pretty sure I"d have broken my neck on solid ground. Lacked the courage and confidence for that. The speed of rotation is phenomenal. To me it counts, to a gymnastics judge, probably not. Wouldn't hurt if you were shorter. You know first hand the reason gymnasts are tiny people.

I mention this to Olympic coaches all the time. The best talent are Black kids playing around at parks. When I was a kid, we had our neighborhood tumbling completions acting our Karate/Chinese moves from TV. LOL

There is talent in every race. I have a white niece that does the double back flip and other tricks in competition. I couldn't do a back flip to save my life, even when I was younger.

@@tomphillips3162 True. The kids I'm referring to are just playing around. They are doing Olympic level tumbling. No coach/trainer or official competition. The competition I mention was between us kids at the park. Olympic trainers normally recruit school with gymnastics.
