hello I hope youre well I was wondering rn im crocheting with barnet baby blanket yarn that soft kind should i use regular sewing thread or my yarn thread? im not sure what to use bc i want it to be strong enough
@ModeBespoke

Hi there! Regular thread is fine. If I am thinking of the correct yarn, that’s a bulky yarn, isn’t it? You’ll have one hell of a time trying to sew with it. The yarn I used was a fingering yarn, so it was marginally thicker than cotton thread. Really, any sewing thread will work, and you can double up the thread if you want extra thickness.

Will 25 chains be enough to get the width of the scarf to 6" ?
@ModeBespoke
@ModeBespoke 2 күн бұрын
Best way to find out is to test it. Add an extra inch to your chain bc TC tends to compress as you add rows. So however many stitches is takes you to make a 7 in chain.

On the 1st row, if I end up with three remaining chains instead of two, Do I need to unravel and start over?

If you really want to, otherwise, just stitch two stitches together and you should be good 👍🏼

Hola!

What if you want to use the knit stitch instead of the simple stitch? How would you increase? Is it the same way??

Hi!! It’s similar. I’m going to like another tutorial below, and yes, it’s for socks, but watch the sections on the toes and the heel. I used a knit stitch and worked both increases and decreases. The chapter time stamps are in the video description so you don’t have to watch the whole thing: Honeycomb Socks, Tunisian Crochet kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4WrqXeKlLqkqpI

Debo decir que fue una muy buena explicación, muy detallada y sin perder paciencia, este es el lado difícil por así decirlo del crochet como las agujas doble punta del tejido a 2 agujas, excelente video ❤

Are you chaining for the width of the rim (not length) then working that until it's as long as you need it to go around the forehead? I'm using a variegated yarn so I'm not changing colors at all. I just like the rim better than doing a moss stitch for the whole hat
@ModeBespoke
@ModeBespoke 17 күн бұрын
I prefer brims to the alternative too. Yes, chaining the width, then working rows for length will make for a stretchier brim, and it’s def the method I prefer after having worked on several hat patterns. That method lends itself better to making a hat that actually fits and eliminates the guesswork.

You should correct error in forward pass at last stitch telling people to yarn over. This creates an extra stitch. I had to FROG several times 😡 before I figured this out
