The MMA fighters are going down to Panama and getting stem cell therapy and getting good results. It has to be maintained and is quite expensive to do. You have to travel there, stay there a bit and the treatment isn’t cheap. I want to try it at some point.

Rotational whiplash caused a lot of axonal shearing in my brain, all over but mostly frontal lobe. There was original insult/rotational acceleration, sudden rotational deceleration, secondary/rotational acceleration, and then sudden secondary/rotational deceleration. There is very little activity in the part of my brain that controls my hands and legs. I had to do many rounds of physical and speech therapy. Apparently, my ability to move mostly normal looking is very impressive considering how little activity is going on there. I think, based on other symptoms like Auditory Processing Disorder and the tendency for PNES, Much of my motor control, at least left side, is happening in the part of my brain that processes left side auditory stimulus. What you are saying about the leaking is a better explanation of why I have so much inflammation and resulting constant migraine than I have been given, if that is what is going on. I appreciate you needing out on this. It helps to get a functional understanding of what is happening in there.

My father had bacterial meningitis from streptococcal pneumonia. However, we only found out because he got confused and double dosed his medication which caused very severe serotonin syndrome which landed him in the hospital. (he was on multiple serotonergic medications) the ER doctor assumed he had amphetamine toxicity but didnt even drug test him, i arrived about an hour after he got to the ER and i was shocked by the state he was in but i recognized it as serotonin syndrome and explained that my reasoning was because he was on so many medications that effected serotonin. The doctor blew me off at first but when the drug test came back clean she took me much more seriously. They called poison contol who talked them through it but when he didnt wake up they finally did an MRI and found the meningitis. He was transferred to a better hospital. He was getting better then got sepsis from an infection in his gallbladder. But he eventually started to recover. However the nursing place he was sent to neglected him and he was sent to a different hospital where he was diagnosed with metabolic encephalopathy. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I brought him home and took him to many many doctors appointments and now, somehow, hes basically back to normal but his short term memory is very poor. I have no idea how he survived. The doctors at the second hospital gave me "the talk" because he was in such poor condition when they recieved him that they didnt want me to get my hopes up.

Ended up minutes not even away from dying intabated in the ICU due to drug induced toxic encephalopathy from laced marijuana from a sealed package from a legal dispensary. Most horrible thing I have ever been through. Just so happy I am so blessed I am alive happened the 8th of this past December and it takes months to get better after the toxins are gone I wish I had the room and time to type what all happened it was just horrific and I wouldn't wish it on anyone God bless anyone who knows or have been through it because the hallucination I had I was dead and tortured in a loop of about 40 seconds over and over and woke up a day or so later when they were taking the breathing tube out of me

I am almost 2 years from SAE. I spent last year on end of life hospice. My brain feels like it’s vibrating still. The worse the vibrations the more “MIA” I am, or….i can’t think clearly at all. I had multi organ failure. Heart, kidneys, liver, pancreas. I got lesions on my brain, spinal cord, and other organs. I have a lot of atrophy. Lorazepam helps with my “brain buzzy (is what I call it). I was very smart. Both my oldest were valedictorian. I already had issues with bpm and bp. After I had a HARD TIME keeping them both from being CRAZY low. Any suggestions on the brain buzz? I want it gone. I can waddle now but only short distances. I had major weight loss (dropped to 92lbs and I’m 5 ‘11) my hands still look like crab claws. My numbness up and down my limbs. Drs don’t seem to know alot to help. I want relief from my brain buzz. It makes everything harder. My family is SO patient and supportive. I had already Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and other stuff when it happened. I got COVID. Sepsis. Was in the hospital. Then my dr of 13 years passed away and my new dr put me on Valium and Prozac. …….i was puking. Couldn’t hold anything down. Didn’t know my husband or kids. My pupils were HUGE. Nonreactive. I should have known. We should have known. They of course took me off those meds that aren’t supposed to be taken together. I have EDS VERY severely. 2 types. It didn’t help the situation. I just want my brain buzz to go away.

My daughter has this injury from a suspected accidental fentanyl overdose. She was without oxygen for a long time. Today is 9 months since her injury happened. A couple months ago she started showing emotion and very minimally responding, then she acquired sepsis from neglect, among other things at the many facilities and hospitals she’s been to, it’s been a nightmare. Since the sepsis, she was barely even making eye contact except yesterday she did more than she has in a while, I can only pray this setback isn’t permanent. We have still a very long road ahead❤️‍🩹🙏🏻

Ok also has question about reading ( as Marc my child had his anoxic brain injury 25 minutes cardiac arrest ) - so I was concentrated on brain recovery So for naw his most problems in school ( yes he is in ordinary school and stil claver he has a lot nerotypical friends can play Minecraft & fortnight games) But in school bigest problem - reading ! We think about Alexia - that really part of brain responsible for reading was most affected ??? He is really good in mathematics & science he is very logical But reading ( not progressing even with a lot of training it’s like is more easy for him to remember scientific logic and discuss than to read it’s like when he is reading- he is decoding every word - and no more memory to remember what he did read …. But no problems to lisening audio books…. He listened all Harry Potter) Can you develop more about part of brain responsible for reading ?

Thank you for such a comprehensive explanation of the subject. Approximately 2 years ago my girlfriend (F 53) , born with Spina Bifida, experienced a Sudden Cardiac Arrest in my presence. CPR for 8 minutes (untrained), Paramedics took 20 minutes to get rhythm, transport, 45 days on vent, 1.5 years in various care facilities. Home now. Incontinent, Lost about 10 years of recent memory, Now aware and recovering. Slight speech impairment, completely verbal, understands humor, sarcasm, and almost all other. Math is good, reads and enjoys television, wants to get better. Masters degree in Public Administration, Masters in Sociology. Incontinant and suffering from pressure wounds. I love her so very much.

Hello, I was diagnosed with toxic encephalopathy in 2008 and have lost both my dr and specialist since the pandemic. I am in need of finding new Dr's and am wondering if you can please send an email where I can contact you. I'd greatly appreciate your help or a referral to Dr's who can help me in the Chicago area where I live. Thank-you Katharine

Most likely she has some damage to her frontal lobe and hippocampus…usually any anoxic event causes widespread damage to the white matter as well, but without testing it’s impossible to say…she should probably have a neuropsychologist do an assessment and also have a neurologist check…seizures are a possibility even years later…although after five years, much less likely. My friend Julie had very significant brain injury from her cardiac arrest…she’s very sweet but struggles quite a bit…

I really struggle with the lingering deficits 7 years on from my injury, a toxic reaction to a systemic retinoid I was prescribed. I think in general, the neurotoxicity of very frequently prescribed pharmaceuticals is severely understated, and I would argue a substantial portion of patients exposed go on to develop mild cognitive impairment as a direct result. As for myself, there are good days and there are those really bad ones as well, where the brain fog, aphasia, and the disruption in registration, recall, executive functioning and everything in between is just wearing me down. It's a daily struggle. I do everything within my capability to get out of my body's way and assist recovery, - strict ketogenic diet as part of a ketogenic metabolic therapy, avoid any and all toxins the best I can (I completely abstain from alcohol) and I try to keep active by going on brisk walks in the park daily. Despite the hardships, I am happy to be alive, and am currently about to graduate medical school in the upcoming June.

the culture of scientific discourse is autocratic and insane. you can't hold a conversation and talk complete nonsense. you refuse to examine literature outside of the bounds of your dysfunctional consensus, parroting establishment credo to the point of slaughtering every patient you can influence. what about Dr. Andrew Moulden? what about Dr. Ross Hauser and his thesis regarding spine injury and disease in relation to the vagus nerve. all of you in the profession are nothing but mass murdering creeps. absolutely childish. off the charts with evil. psychiatry is Nazism and when these pills are given to those with brain injury they die young, usually in the streets or in custody. and you eat their meat.

the advice is absolutely harmful. humans must not treat one another in accordance with the principles associated with lab animals in cages involving stimulus response algorithms associated with Skinner and Pavlovian type behaviorism. this is truly disgusting. outlandish and reprehensible. this fellow should be imprisoned and corrected for so much as suggesting such a manner of conduct. truly.

I would be careful with Depakote/Valproic-Acid. I took in some years ago, only to incur injury to the liver as a result. Although i was fortunate to have recovered from the incident, the literature suggests that in many cases the pathology once instigated can become progressive, even resulting in death. So please be attentive. Also, Lamictal appears to be associated with the potential for a severe skin reaction, so I would also recommend caution with this medication as well, should it come into consideration. As regards to anti-convulsants, the most common and natural of all that is used in veterinary medicine is potassium bromide. I take this often, along with lithium. however the problem lf intermittent explosive disorder, per the DSM label, persists, particularly in response to any uptick in life stressors. very grateful for the advice in this video. anger management, though of value, is highly over-rated and as indicated in many animal models including our very own pets, the problem can be intrasigent and therefore often either under-treated or mistreated. those of us afflicted risk induction into situations of involuntary confinement which given the prevailing socio-economic factors can result in premature death via disposession and homelessness. I myself am now seeking to upgrade my own treatment protocols with regard to the anger issue as the matter of personal safety is of the utmost importance. Cigerrettes used to be my go-to drug, but since I quit the need to find a better, pharmacological substitute has become very evident. painfully so.
