Hey, what’s up, I wanna say thank you for this wonderful video but I have a problem. The thing is that I am visually impaired. I have an Apollo twin X and an Apollo X8. honestly is a Apollo quad thunderbolt two but I changed the audio card to be USB-C instead now so it’s all up-to-date and I’m using a dangerous dbox for summing. if you know when it comes to the dangerous, it uses up all my outputs on the Apollo X8, but with the Apollo twin, I have outputs three and four available and I have all my inputs available on the X8. is there a way that I can still do hybrid mixing with those two channels available? I had the WA 73 and the WA one B I am visually impaired and it’s pretty hard to do all of this. Is there any chance that we could connect? It would be so amazing to talk to you. You have a lot of knowledge and I appreciate everything you do for the whole community.

I do want to ask, is there a way you can do a video or share a link because I'm having a problem getting audio recorded back into pro tools through my Apollo twin USB. I have a song that I recorded a few years ago, I wanted to re-release it as an EP through my new bus compressor and mic pre. I am stuck in getting the audio back into pro tools coming out of the compressor and back into the Apollo twin? Any help would be greatly appreciated and again thank you for the incredible video.

Thank you, very clearly explained. I'm trying to get my Cue 3 to send stereo from line 5/6 out to a chain of stereo pedals and back into line 5/6 within Console, so I can play guitar and route it via Console without opening Pro Tools and starting a session. This was a good refresher on how to do it with Pro Tools, especially aligning the IO matrix.

With the Apollo x gen2 the XLR Mic input can bypass and route directly to A/D converters. No need to XLR to TRS 0.25in into Line 1. The option is in console settings.

why wouldnt we just set it up to mix all the time? what would make you want to set it up to record instead of mixing?

Wish there was a way to use the Apollo Twin (expander unit) with outboard. All my I/0 is taken on my x8 with outboard pres (x8 inputs) and Dbox+ for monitoring (x8 outputs). The only thing the Apollo Twin offers as an expander unit is 2 extra inputs and the DSP.

My thing is, I want to record VOCALS (1 mic) and use my Analog Compressor on the way in, I dont own an analog pre-amp so I need to figure out how to XLR>Apollo pre>Back out to Hardware Compressor, then back in > Line Record. Console is super confusing though....do you know how I can do this? ...Live btw, compressing on the way in, but using the Unison Pre's first. So confusing.

When performing the mixing procedure with external equipment going out through virtual 1 and returning to input 1 at line level, what happens with the delay compensation? How can I correct it? Question i want to hook up a compressor to my twin to record vocals and ua told me that i dont need another pre amp and that i can use the twins…i dont eant to mix just record
